About The Role

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and Japan-obsessed Social Media Coordinator to bring our Japan travel experiences to life online. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day content creation and social media management for our Japan tour business, building a vibrant, engaging brand presence that inspires travelers to explore Japan with us. The ideal candidate is a phenomenal storyteller with a strong sense of visual style, cultural sensitivity, and editorial instinct. You should be deeply curious about Japanese destinations and culture, and excited to create content that blends inspiration with information.  This is a highly creative role with plenty of room for experimentation and ownership—and an opportunity to shape how our audience dreams, plans, and books trips to Japan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create original content across platforms that showcases our Japan tours, destinations, and experiences.
  • Produce short-form video, photography, and graphics to support organic and paid campaigns.
  • Repurpose itineraries, partner assets, and travel insights into compelling, platform-native content.
  • Work closely with creators and travel suppliers in Japan to create exceptional content
  • Build and manage content calendars with a Japan-focused lens
  • Analyze engagement, trends and analytical data to optimize performance and inform future content.
  • Identify creator/influencer opportunities to grow our Japan community and UGC pipeline.
  • Collaborate with editorial, SEO, and performance marketing to align social content with broader campaigns.
  • Tailor messaging and formats to each platform while maintaining brand voice and visual identity
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing—ideally in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle
  • Deep personal interest in Japan—whether through travel, language, culture, or design
  • Strong visual sensibility and creative instincts for content that performs well on social
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
  • Familiar with scheduling platforms and analytics dashboards
  • Japanese language fluency 
  • Video editing skills, on-camera experience, or a personal content portfolio
Compensation

Compensation range for this role is $65k-$70k + equity. Other benefits include:
