The Social Strategist develops, executes, and optimizes paid social campaigns, mentors junior staff, and aligns strategies with client needs.
Overview:
The Social Strategist is responsible for the end-to-end development, execution, and optimization of paid social campaigns across multiple platforms. This role acts as a bridge between execution and client strategy, combining platform mastery with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights. Additionally, the Social Strategist serves as a key mentor to junior staff, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining trust with internal and external stakeholders.

- Advanced fluency with numbers and Excel formulas
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and tight deadlines
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking and resolution
Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years experience with paid social campaign management, agency or brand setting preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; a focus in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications is a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Plan Development
- Lead the research, strategy, planning, and presentation of social media campaigns to internal and client teams.
- Partner with Account Management and Media teams to align social strategy with client needs and insights.
- Assess partner offerings and new technologies to determine their suitability for client goals.
- Develop and execute detailed creative and audience testing plans while reporting results back to clients.
- Maintain mastery of Meta offerings and a solid grasp of secondary platforms including TikTok, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
Technical Expertise, Campaign Management & Media Plan Execution
- Execute best practices in campaign setup, trafficking, and targeting while utilizing QA checklists and constant optimization to ensure accuracy, brand safety, and performance.
- Leverage research tools and stay current on industry standards, emerging platforms, and the competitive landscape to inform planning and strategy.
- Draft professional POVs and insights regarding current events and their strategic implications for client accounts.
Reporting and Measurement
- Author comprehensive mid-campaign and post-campaign performance reports by aggregating data from various sources.
- Explain platform algorithms and media delivery in accessible terms for client understanding.
- Present reports to clients and provide detailed answers regarding campaign performance and execution.
Team Management and Mentorship
- Train Associates on campaign execution workflows, including planning, trafficking, pacing, and reporting.
- Oversee and QA Associate's work product to achieve 100% accuracy in all deliverables.
- Provide training on proprietary and third-party media management platforms and tools.
