As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase on the Consumer & Community Banking/Chase Pay Team, you are an integral part of an agile squad dedicated to architecting and delivering industry-leading technology solutions that are secure, resilient, and built to scale. Your work may involve building application capabilities that empower our customers and clients with greater control over their banking experience, pioneering the next generation of payment innovations, or driving the , or driving the seamless integration of our private and public cloud infrastructure as part of our ongoing modernization efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficiency with programming languages like Java is a must, SQL and experience in Spring boot, Micro services, AWS
  • Hands-on experience in RDBMS; Oracle or PostgresSQL
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Hands-on experience in AWS EC2, AWS Lambda, AWS KMS, AWS ECS, AWS EKS, AWS S3, EMR, Athena, SQS, EventBridge, PostgresSQL
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform & Cloud Formation etc
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in AI driven development and transformation
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT system
