About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Our US Markets team is the engine that turns world events into live prediction markets. Right now, too much of our market creation process is manual. We need someone to build the automation and tooling that lets us launch markets at the speed news breaks.

You'll own the entire pipeline from market idea to live market. This means building backend services that automate market creation, plus the internal portal our Markets team uses every day to configure and settle markets. You'll be the technical force multiplier that lets a small team run thousands of markets.

This isn't a feature request job. You'll identify bottlenecks in our current process and build solutions that didn't exist before. If our team is spending 30 minutes manually setting up each market, you build the tool that makes it 30 seconds.

What You'll Do
  • Build automation pipelines that turn manual market creation into self-serve workflows

  • Own the internal markets portal where our team creates, configures, and resolves markets daily

  • Design and implement backend services that handle market lifecycle from launch to settlement

  • Create tools that let us spin up markets in response to breaking news within minutes, not hours

  • Ship full-stack solutions using Node.js/TypeScript backends with React frontends

  • Identify process bottlenecks and build systems that eliminate manual work

  • Scale our infrastructure to handle the creation and management of thousands of concurrent markets

What We're Looking For
  • 2-3 years of strong TypeScript and Node.js experience

  • Comfort building React frontends and full-stack applications

  • Background at startups, not big tech companies

  • High agency mindset - you find problems and ship fixes without waiting for direction

  • Experience with automation and building internal tools

  • (Plus) Previous experience with financial markets, trading platforms, or real-time data systems

  • (Plus) AI/ML experience for market automation and data processing

  • (Plus) DevOps experience with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines

Benefits
  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

  • 401k match

  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
