Responsibilities

What you'll be able to do:

Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Credit Company LLC (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Design and implement scalable REST APIs for real-time vehicle data ingestion. Create and maintain cloud-native microservices in Java/SpringBoot. Define data models and integrate with SQL and NoSQL data stores. Build automated CI/CD pipelines to deploy services to the cloud. Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance. Collaborate with product owners and front-end teams to refine requirements. Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews. 

Qualifications

You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.   5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Using REST API to ensure that data and services are available internally and externally via the internet. 2. Debugging software using an interactive debugger, including VSCode or IntelliJ, to triage and reproduction of client and server issues.  3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Using Java, .NET, Python, or Kotlin programming languages to implement scalable stateful web services and client-side business logic. 2. Translating design requirements into functional specifications using requirements management platforms like Jira or a similar tool, and creating supporting documentation and diagrams using software such as Miro. 3. Designing distributed systems in a cloud environment including Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and containerization tool Docker.  2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.  1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Using Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure that changes are incorporated into shipping software and deployed correctly. 

We are offering a salary of $147,077.00 - $192,925.08/yr.
