This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US.
Overview:
What you will do:
- Develop high‑quality software using Precisely’s established development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Participate in team‑based design and code reviews to identify issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Estimate the effort required for small to moderate development tasks.
- Take proactive steps to anticipate and prevent customer‑impacting issues.
- Deliver technical presentations to colleagues, customers, and partners as needed.
- Diagnose and debug software issues using appropriate tools and techniques to identify root causes efficiently.
- Document and present software functionality, designs, and implementation details for internal review.
- Meet delivery timelines and contribute reliably to project commitments.Provide daily status updates during agile stand‑ups and collaborate effectively with the Scrum team.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2 to 8 years of relevant experience
- You have experience with the following programming languages: C, CL and SQL
- You have the ability to analyze simple to moderate programming problems and create algorithms and programming solutions.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Working knowledge of IBM system i
- Knowledge of High Availability concepts and Precisely IBM i High Availability products
- IBM i programming experience
- IBM DB2 knowledge
- Java and CL knowledge a plus
- Ability to effectively program for IBM i performance critical applications
