Ornn is building the financial infrastructure for AI compute. Our price indices are live on Bloomberg Terminal. We structure and trade compute hedging instruments. And we're now building a platform that brings exchange-grade mechanics like order management, matching, scheduling, and settlement to how compute capacity gets reserved and allocated. We're a lean team in New York, backed by leading venture and strategic investors.
You would be one of the first engineers building a system where bugs have financial consequences. The platform handles real capacity commitments backed by real contracts, so the engineering bar is closer to a trading system than a typical SaaS product. You will work across the full stack having ownership on the infrastructure and user experience for both AI labs and neoclouds. You will work directly with our Head of Engineering. Expect real influence over architecture and technical direction, building end-to-end.
- Build core platform features that let people use and trade compute.
- Own frontend interfaces for thousands of customers (and growing!)
- Make reliability a feature: write tests, maintain code quality, and treat correctness as a hard requirement.
- Shape technical decisions around performance as the platform scales.
- Contribute to infrastructure and deployment tooling as Ornn grows.
Requirements
- 1+ years shipping production software.
- Strong Python skillset: you've built backend services, APIs, and data-intensive systems with it.
- Full-stack capability.
- Comfortable operating independently in a lean team.
- BS, MS in CS or related field from a strong program.
Nice-to-Haves
- Rust experience, especially for systems-level or performance-critical work.
- Time in trading, fintech, or crypto where latency and reliability were non-negotiable.
- Familiarity with GPU compute, cloud infrastructure, or datacenter operations.
- Experience with IaC, container orchestration, and CI/CD in production.
Ornn Fabric's value to neoclouds and institutional investors depends entirely on the platform working. The credit structures, the rating agency relationships, the financial products that sit on top of the marketplace all assume a functioning, reliable exchange underneath. The near term engineering execution will define whether Fabric can onboard its first cohort of tenants and operators.
Benefits include competitive salary, meaningful equity, health coverage, free meals, and additional benefits. This is a leadership role with significant strategic impact and equity upside.
Ornn is committed to building a diverse team. We evaluate candidates based on their ability to do the work, not on pedigree or background. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
