Temporal is hiring a Solana Networking Engineer to work in our NYC office with deep expertise in Rust and high-performance distributed systems. In this role, you’ll work on critical infrastructure supporting and focusing on systems-level optimizations, monitoring, and resilience at scale to accelerate Solana forward.
Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain validators, RPC servers, and networking infrastructure in Rust 
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems for server health and network performance
  • Collaborate with dev and infra teams to identify bottlenecks and increase system throughput

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, performance, or infrastructure roles
  • Proficient in Rust for high-performance applications
  • Strong background in distributed systems design and benchmarking
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools and container orchestration
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, QUIC)
  • Deep familiarity with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
  • Super Bonus: HPC experience
