The AI Workforce Solution Engineer Manager is a senior people leadership role responsible for leading a team of Copilot and Cloud Endpoint Solution Engineers who help customers accelerate technology adoption, drive AI transformation, and realize business outcomes from Microsoft solutions. Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Solution Engineers.

  • Lead through senior technical professionals.
  • Drive business strategy and execution across multiple teams or large customer segments.

Customer & Business Impact

  • Drive customer AI transformation and adoption of Microsoft solutions.
  • Lead deep customer engagements that accelerate decision-making and business outcomes.
  • Engage executive and C-level customer stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on digital transformation and innovation initiatives.

Strategic Execution

  • Define and communicate a strategic vision aligned with Microsoft priorities.
  • Collaborate with sales, industry, technical, and partner teams to maximize customer success.
  • Manage engagement portfolios and identify opportunities to accelerate revenue growth and customer value.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution and remove blockers.

Technical Excellence

  • Guide teams through solution envisioning, architecture design, and rapid prototyping.
  • Ensure technical excellence and alignment with customer business objectives.
  • Stay current on AI, cloud, and emerging technologies to shape customer strategy and industry leadership.
  • Promote best practices for solution design and implementation.

Operational Management

  • Own business operations including budgeting, hiring, planning, and execution.
  • Measure and improve customer engagement quality and business outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment with Microsoft values, mission, and operational standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:


Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
3+ years people management experience (including leading virtual teams).
  • Deep understanding of AI, cloud platforms, digital transformation, and enterprise architecture.
  • Proven ability to influence across complex organizations and drive strategic change.
  • Deep executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading high-performing technical sales, consulting, or solution engineering teams.
  • Deep customer advocacy skills with a history of delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Track record of building inclusive, high-performance teams focused on growth and innovation.

Solution Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
