Fonoa is the Tax Operating System for autonomous tax. AI that tracks every rule, acts on every obligation, and proves every decision, built on modular infrastructure.

Fonoa’s modules cover the full indirect tax lifecycle: tax ID validation, real-time tax determination, e-invoicing, and returns. All on one shared data model and integration, with one audit trail. Each added capability makes the others stronger.

Agents monitor obligations, populate returns, catch anomalies and assemble audit packs in seconds. The system does the work. Humans make the calls. That’s autonomous tax.

We operate across 120+ countries, with clients going live in weeks, if not days.

Role description:

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Post-Sales Implementation team and help our enterprise clients successfully implement Fonoa's tax technology solutions.

The role will have a strong focus on e-invoicing and digital tax compliance projects, working with clients to understand their business, technical, and regulatory requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. You will work across different countries and e-invoicing mandates, helping clients understand how regulatory requirements impact their existing ERP, billing, invoicing, and financial systems.

You will own the technical aspects of the client onboarding and implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation and Go-Live.

The ideal candidate combines technical solution architecture skills with a strong understanding of e-invoicing, indirect tax, and digital tax compliance. You should be comfortable working with APIs and data structures, navigating complex business requirements, and explaining technical and regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Work alongside the Solutions engineers to develop scoping and implementation plans, perform feature gap analyses, and provide tailor-made solutions where applicable.

  • Work closely with the product, engineering, support, and solutions teams to collect and capture client feedback to help build relevant case studies and feature requests.

  • Troubleshoot ongoing implementation issues that come up both on the technical aspect, considering the tax implications, and involving the relevant teams to find resolutions.

  • Manage implementation project timelines and deliverables, ensuring time to revenue, and go-live is optimized and minimized where possible.

  • Track Post-sales and post-go-live metrics and engagement to measure and ensure a successful launch.

  • Work with APIs, JSON/XML payloads, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, and data mappings to troubleshoot and design integrations.

  • Use modern AI tools and technologies to improve research, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, and implementation efficiency, while applying appropriate judgment around accuracy, security, and data privacy.

You will be a great fit if:

  • You have professional experience with e-invoicing, electronic invoicing, digital tax, indirect tax technology, or related tax compliance solutions.

  • You have a good understanding of how e-invoicing works from both a business/regulatory and technical perspective.

  • You have experience working on B2B SaaS implementations, ideally involving enterprise customers, ERP integrations, finance systems, or tax technology.

  • You are comfortable working with APIs, JSON, XML, webhooks, cloud technologies, and system integrations.

  • You can translate complex business, tax, and regulatory requirements into clear technical requirements and solution designs.

  • You are comfortable navigating strategic conversations with technical and business stakeholders.

  • You have experience working with ERP, billing, invoicing, accounting, or financial systems; experience with platforms.

  • You have a practical understanding of AI and modern AI tools, and are comfortable using them to support research, analysis, documentation, problem-solving, and day-to-day productivity.

  • You have a strong sense of ownership and take responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes for customers.
