About the role:

Join Swift’s Client Engagement Team as a Solution Architect in a fast moving and captivating working environment. Imagine yourself designing solutions that will help our customers cope with the fast-changing financial landscape. You will be in the driving seat and understand our customer’s needs to solve their challenges leveraging our API and Messaging services offering, create awareness around new Swift’s strategy and get the footprints ready to benefit from the platform value added services.

In that context, Swift is looking for an English speaking and talented individual to join a team of experts and assist our African customers.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Solutions Architect, you are given the opportunity to make a direct impact, helping our customers designing the best possible solution depending on their needs, current and future. Concretely, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with financial institutions / Swift users to understand business challenges and architect scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

  • Designing end-to-end solutions that integrate Swift’s products and services with clients’ systems focusing on elevating the experience of Swift community members as well as their customers.

  • Driving adoption of Swift’s digital platforms, APIs, and solutions to enable seamless connectivity for Swift community members financial institutions.

  • Ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business requirements, delivering measurable value to clients.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions, regulators, and partners.

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on leveraging Swift’s solutions to achieve their business objectives.

  • Representing Swift in industry forums and events to promote its digital agenda and thought leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong IT Background, preferably in the financial industry.

  • Understanding of the financial services industry, including cross-border payments and compliance.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions.

  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into a technology solution with full involvement of the rest of the client relationship stakeholders. Analyze detailed systems factors: input/output requirements; information flow; technical requirements; resources needed and select the appropriate SWIFT products and services to architect a customer solution.

  • Familiarity with Swifts products and services is highly desirable, but not mandatory.

  • Excellent English communication skills. French and other languages are an added advantage.

  • Ability and desire to succeed in a diverse, multi-cultural environment, across varied geographics and team.

  • Willingness to travel
