Description

Role Overview

Solidus Labs is seeking a Solutions Consultant to join our Professional Services practice and work on our most complex implementations. The Solutions Consultant plays a critical role in the success of our clients, ensuring the effective delivery of Solidus Labs’ category-defining Trade Surveillance and Transaction Monitoring solution for some of the industry’s most sophisticated market participants, from exchanges and broker-dealers to asset managers and regulators.

We are looking for a client-facing professional with experience in capital markets who blends expert communication skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset. The successful candidate is equally at ease communicating technical concepts to key business stakeholders and diving into technical solution details, from mapping complex data workflows to testing and tuning trade surveillance algorithms. Familiarity with pre- and post-trade data workflows, FIX messages, and blockchain data are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Technical lead in program overview discussions with clients, spanning critical milestones, project risk mitigation, and scope prioritization, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and explaining integration approaches and guiding clients through best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across exchanges, brokers, asset managers, and regulators to align solutions with business and compliance needs.
  • Serve as the technical authority during implementation, ensuring successful delivery and client confidence in the solution.

Solution Definition & Configuration

  • Define solution requirements around implementation architecture, authorization, and integration patterns to balance client needs with internal standards and other constraints (timeline, cost)
  • Define non-standard data workflows from end-to-end, across ingestion, transformation, alerting, and monitoring.
  • Conduct Trade Surveillance algorithm parameter tuning, analyze output, and communicate results clearly and effectively in client-facing deliverables.

Implementation Delivery Oversight

  • Partner with project engagement leads to oversee successful delivery of trade surveillance and transaction monitoring platform
  • Identify issues and conduct root cause investigations to address data quality or accuracy problems across the data life cycle (including around reference data mismatches, timestamp reconciliation, order lifecycle alignment, etc.)
  • Work closely with Solidus Labs Product and R&D teams as well as client compliance and technical teams to recommend remediation actions and validate issue resolution.
Requirements

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years delivering solutions within the capital markets industry at a professional services firm or technology solution provider
  • Domain Knowledge of capital markets technology, including but not limited to Execution Management Systems, Algo Trading Platforms, Trade Surveillance Platforms, or Clearing and Settlement systems.
  • Client Engagement: Proven ability to work directly with sophisticated clients to resolve solution prioritization and implementation challenges.
  • Communication: Clear and confident communicator, able to explain technical architecture and workflows to both technical and business teams.
  • Technical Capability: Familiarity with integration methods (REST APIs, message queues, streaming data) and data adapters, connectors, and ETL pipelines.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with market data structures; experience with CLOBs, order management systems, FIX message formats, pre-/post-trade workflows.
  • Hands-on experience applying LLM-based tooling and MCP-orchestrated workflows to analytical tasks — such as alert data analysis, model calibration, or surveillance parameter tuning — within a structured, tool-augmented agent framework.
  • Knowledge of on-chain data structures (smart contract events, blockchain ledgers, DEX order flows).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Clickhouse, Snowflake) or trade surveillance systems.
  • Strong SQL or Python and data analysis capabilities for analysis, debugging, and validation.

Why This Role Matters

This is a role for someone who enjoys turning complex client requirements into reliable, working solutions. The solution consultant will ensure that client needs - from bespoke data workflows to custom algorithm settings - are well-defined, delivered, and tested, ensuring that Solidus’ most strategic clients are well-positioned to utilize and derive value from our market-leading surveillance and compliance solutions.

Benefits:

The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, and location. In addition to base pay, Solidus Labs offers equity, unlimited PTO and a generous total rewards program, including $0 monthly health insurance premiums for you and your family, a robust 401K match program, and perks like ClassPass, One Medical and Talkspace subscriptions.
