About the role:  

We are looking for a Point of Sale (POS) Specialist who is passionate about providing the highest standards of service to enhance and support sales from a Point-of-Sale perspective within the Boutique. They will work to make the client experience more efficient through partnership with other members of the Boutique to ensure that sales are processed accurately. This position plays a critical role in the daily maintenance of the point of sale. The POS Specialist will also assist other members of the boutique to maximize client-facing time and will support all areas of the Boutique as needed.  

  

What impact you can create at CHANEL:   

  • Client Experience: 

  • Deliver a seamless client experience by accurately and efficiently processing sales transactions. 

  • Interface with clients to explain store policies and transaction documentation as needed. 

  • Support and encourage client engagement with digital tools. 

  • Cash Wrap Operations: 

  • Take full ownership of the cash wrap area, ensuring all packaging, materials, and supplies are fully stocked and organized. 

  • Support the opening and closing of registers, assist in handling cash and deposits, and coordinate the POS closing workflow. 

  • Oversee the check refund procedures and ensure compliance with company standards. 

  • Transaction Processing: 

  • Process receipts, refunds, and credits to customers with accuracy and professionalism. 

  • Bag, box, wrap, or gift wrap merchandise in accordance with CHANEL standards. 

  • Client Data & Service: 

  • Ensure accurate and complete client data capture during each transaction. 

  • Support responsibilities related to the point of sale and client service, contributing to a welcoming and efficient environment. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

  • Ability to handle cash and confidential client information responsibly. 

  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and digital client engagement tools preferred. 

  • Commitment to upholding CHANEL standards in all aspects of client interaction and merchandise handling.

Position Logistics:  

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience, including prior experience at point of sale in a service industry.  

  • Able to operate the register and comfortable with point of sale technology  

  • Able to lift 15 lbs., walk and/or stand for extended periods of time     

  • Must have flexible schedule with the ability to work late nights, weekends and some holidays   

  • Heart of House: Requires in-store presence to facilitate the opening and closing of the boutique

Compensation:  

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $28/ hour through $31/hour. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
