Job Summary
The Market & Competitive Insights team plays a key role in helping shape Comcast's growth strategy, specifically our longer-term path to competitive differentiation. The foundation of our framework is assessing how consumer preferences, priorities, and behaviors are evolving regarding broadband, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services. In conjunction with that effort, we analyze competitor performance and strategies and tactics for meeting those changing consumer needs. That consumer/competitive/market view provides the context for the longer-term path we help define for Comcast to deliver unique and compelling services that resonate with consumers and differentiate us in the process. The Sr. Analyst, Competitive Intelligence will play a key role in helping the organization understand and respond to changes across the internet, mobile, and entertainment markets. This role will systematically monitor shifts in competitor strategies, tactics, and performance, while assessing the impact of competitive, consumer, and macroeconomic trends on the business. By translating market developments and competitive performance into actionable insights, the Sr. Analyst will help identify areas of competitive advantage and opportunity nationally and regionally and inform both near-term tactical decisions and longer-term strategic planning.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze changes in the competitive landscape across internet, mobile, and entertainment, including competitor strategies, product offerings, pricing, promotions, GTM activity, and other key developments.
  • Track and assess competitor and industry performance, including quarterly results, subscriber trends, financial performance, and relevant operating metrics.
  • Identify and quantify the impact of competitive, consumer, and macroeconomic factors on market and business performance.
  • Synthesize complex market and competitive information into clear, actionable insights that highlight key implications for the business.
  • Develop executive ready presentations and compelling storylines that translate complex competitive and market analyses into clear insights, implications, and recommended actions for senior leadership.
  • Support near term tactical decision making and longer term strategic planning through data driven competitive and market analysis.
  • Build and maintain competitive intelligence tools, frameworks, and reporting that enable systematic tracking of market developments and performance over time.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to answer key competitive questions and support high priority strategic initiatives.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights, particularly regarding customer experience and market strategies.
  • Research Abilities: Experience or coursework in market research, customer experience analysis, and competitive strategy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Tools: Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and research platforms (e.g., surveys, databases).
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team discussions and decisions.
  • Curiosity & Initiative: A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving, with a strong curiosity about consumer behavior, customer experience, and market dynamics.
