Sr Brand Marketing Director | Acorns

Acorns is seeking an entrepreneurial Sr Brand Marketing Director to lead Acorns and Acorns Early in shaping, shipping, and scaling the brand at a pivotal moment in our growth. This is a role for someone who wants to architect culture, build brand love, and move millions toward financial wellness.

You’ll lead brand marketing, social, partnerships, and integrated activations as we:

  • Grow our new brand platform

  • Scale upper-funnel reach

  • Bring new family-focused products to market

  • Deepen connection with young investors and parents

Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA.

What you will do at Acorns:

Build Breakthrough Brand Campaigns

  • Architect and direct integrated campaigns that shift perception of who investing is for and why they should care

  • Own strategy and execution across brand media, OOH, social, creator, and partnerships.

  • Ensure every touchpoint delivers one cohesive, emotionally charged story that inspires action.

Make Acorns Culturally Unmissable

  • Lead our social + creator ecosystem to generate cultural relevance and energy.

  • Identify and activate the moments, partners, and conversations that make the brand pop in the feed and in culture.

  • Grow awareness and trust with bold, differentiated content.

Drive Cross-Functional Impact

  • Connect Brand, Creative, Growth, and Data into one unified engine.

  • Protect the integrity of the brand while pushing for innovation, speed, and craft.

  • Manage and inspire a high-performing team with clarity, direction, and founder-level urgency.

What you will bring to Acorns:

  • 10+ years leading brand or integrated marketing at a high-growth consumer brand; fintech experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to craft and ship big, distinctive brand work with measurable business impact.

  • A track record of running teams through tight timelines, multi-channel campaigns, and GTM launches.

  • Deep intuition for storytelling, culture, and customer psychology - backed by a data-led mindset.

  • Excellence in creative judgment, executional rigor, and cross-functional leadership.

  • Founder-like urgency, energy, and ownership.

  • Hunger to deliver game-changing products.

  • Exceptional drive and precision in delivery.

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $215,000 and $230,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
