Role Description

Reporting to our VP, HR Business Partners, you will lead an EPD (Engineering, Product and Design) HRBP team and partner with EPD senior leadership in a way that demonstrates both strategic problem solving and operational execution. Having elevated the HRBP role at Dropbox in recent times to be more strategic and impactful, we seek an HRBP leader to build on this progress and to lead the team with commerciality, innovation and empathy. In your work, you will play a critical role in upholding our values and amplify the success of our business and products through our most important asset: our people.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational HR leadership to our EPD Leaders and in partnership, develop and execute HR strategies in support of our high impact culture
  • Manage a team of experienced HRBPs while also role modeling our high impact culture within the broader HRBP team
  • Guide & coach senior leadership across people-related areas such as talent & performance management, employee engagement, change management, succession planning and org design
  • Proactively identify opportunities to utilize people trends to identify gaps, and deploy people strategies that drive commercial outcomes for the business
  • Positively collaborate & influence across peers within our broader People team to drive HR initiatives that solve for your clients' strategic needs 
  • Serve as an advocate and coach for building diverse and inclusive teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in the tech industry supporting technical leaders as primary stakeholders with 5+ years of experience leading HRBP teams 
  • Thrives in a culture of high ambiguity and knows how to drive impact as priorities shift
  • Brings a commercial and innovative mindset to how they develop strategy and lead teams
  • Wants to raise the bar; is passionate about engaging with leaders and employees as customers, and has a deep sense of ownership and urgency for their work
  • Has the ability to exercise sound and efficient judgment when managing complex decisions, and utilizes data and systems to drive decision making
  • Natural communicator and relationship builder to influence across all personalities 
  • Enjoys pivoting from strategic problem solving to strong execution (known to roll up their sleeves to get the job done)
  • Demonstrates an incredibly high level of confidentiality and discretion 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 

Total Rewards

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):
• US Zone 1: $278,400 - $327,500 - $376,600.
• US Zone 2: $250,600 - $294,800 - $339,000.
• US Zone 3: $222,700 - $262,000 - $301,300.
 
Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:
• US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro
• US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro), Washington DC metro and West Virginia (DC metro)
• US Zone 3: All other US locations

In order to be successful in our Virtual First environment we needed to make changes that would allow employees to have more control over both where and how they work.
