The Opportunity

Adobe’s Global Industry Strategy Team (GIST) develops and implements strategies that enhance Adobe’s competitive position and market share across industries. Using a cross-cloud, cross-industry, and global perspective, the team shapes the marketplace through forward-looking thought leadership and close collaboration with Marketing and Sales to deliver the voice of each industry we support.

Within GIST, the Center of Excellence (COE) is redefining how Adobe scales its industry expertise to improve outcomes for both customers and our field organization. The COE’s mission is simple: enhance Adobe’s Industry Strategy discipline by building the systems, partnerships, and programs that amplify impact across the globe. We provide intelligence, automation, orchestration, and strategy & operations that enable GIST’s consistent excellence at scale across field enablement, marketing, thought leadership, and AI innovation.

As a Senior Global Industry Strategist, you will help design and operationalize these frameworks, codifying best practices into repeatable playbooks, and drive key priorities across Marketing, Thought Leadership, and Industry Intelligence. You will balance strategic thinking with strong program management and execution to scale Adobe’s impact worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Establish effective partnership between the Global Industry Strategy Team and Adobe’s marketing teams, defining engagement processes, metrics for success, and shared operating rhythms.

  • Develop and secure alignment on Quarterly Industry Marketing Plans that amplifies industry thought leadership and cross-industry insights to drive awareness and business growth.

  • Provide overall program management and activation of Marketing workstreams, overseeing the team’s contributions to flagship events like Adobe Summit, and defining tracking mechanisms to measure visibility, engagement, and business impact.

  • Drive partnership with Customer Communications team to advocate for strategic prioritization and streamlined process in creation of customer success stories.

AI & Industry Intelligence

  • Drive partnership with the Adobe Digital Insights (ADI) organization, defining how GIST can best leverage ADI’s research capabilities and marketing reach.

  • Author and publish cross-industry thought leadership, synthesizing research and customer insights into compelling narratives.

  • Explore opportunities to use AI to enhance how thought leadership powers field teams—such as pattern recognition and knowledge surfacing from customer interactions.

Strategy & Operations

  • Contribute to COE annual planning and strategy definition, proactively surfacing insights and flagging risks to share agile team governance

  • Contribute to the ongoing practice-building of the COE, standing up effective structures, documentation, and rhythms that strengthen collaboration, accountability, and team culture across global workstreams.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 8+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, strategy & operations, or industry strategy, ideally within an enterprise technology sales organization

  • Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable programs and operational frameworks, leading cross-functional and global workstreams with measurable impact

  • Strong communication, executive presence, and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire and engage senior-level internal stakeholders

  • Ability to operate effectively in a new, fast-moving team environment—the COE is in start-up mode and under pressure to prove value quickly, requiring agility, resilience, and a bias toward action

  • Innovator’s mindset, with the creativity to envision new solutions and approach problem-solving in unconventional ways

  • Comfort working with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, with the judgment to prioritize effectively and deliver results amid evolving priorities and ambiguity

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including talent for conducting research, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations
