Job Description

About The Position:

People Inc. is seeking an innovative and collaborative Senior Manager, Brand & Sales Marketing to join our Health vertical. This role drives go-to-market innovation and integrated proposal development for Pharma clients across the People Inc. portfolio, with a strategic focus on magazine and cross-channel opportunities.

In close partnership with Health Sales and Health Marketing, you will lead integrated client strategy and serve as the strategic magazine lead within proposals. You will shape how our brands go to market across magazines, digital, video, and tentpole initiatives spanning 40+ brands across Health, Lifestyle, Food & Beverage, Parenting, Tech, and Travel.

Hybrid 3x a week- New York, NY

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About the Position's Contributions:

  • Lead Integrated Go-To-Market Strategy: Develop and package brand-driven, cross-channel materials for the Health group, translating editorial initiatives into compelling opportunities for Pharma clients and equipping Sales and Marketing teams with clear, scalable frameworks. Elevate these strategies through thoughtful narrative development and visually compelling presentations that reflect the strength of Health at People Inc..

  • Drive Proposal Development & Sales Partnership: Collaborate closely with Health Sales to shape client strategies, support key accounts, and serve as the strategic magazine lead within integrated proposals. Act as a strategic partner on client-facing opportunities and guide positioning and packaging.

  • Elevate Brand Positioning: Create clear, differentiated marketing narratives that communicate each brand’s unique value across magazine and multi-channel environments, ensuring consistency across materials and proposals.

  • Fuel Cross-Portfolio Innovation: In partnership with marketing and editorial leadership, develop new tentpoles, franchises, and integrated programs grounded in our editorial brands’ DNA and aligned with Pharma demand across the portfolio. Solutions will support our mission to deliver health relevance in all aspects of our audiences’ lives. 

  • Champion Cross-Functional Partnerships: Lead collaboration with editorial, research, product, marketing, activation, and account strategy teams to surface high-value opportunities and ensure strategic alignment from idea through market launch.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in brand marketing and/or pre-sales RFP marketing at a digital publisher or media company; experience supporting Pharma clients and integrated proposals strongly preferred

  • Proven experience developing strategic, insight-led proposals and go-to-market materials across magazines, digital, and multi-channel programs

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the publishing landscape, including magazines, integrated storytelling, and cross-portfolio packaging

  • Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with the ability to build visually compelling, client-ready presentations (PowerPoint fluency required)

  • A confident communicator who can tailor messaging for sales, editorial, marketing, and client audiences, and remains poised in high-stakes or fast-paced environments

  • Highly collaborative and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities, connect dots across teams, and move initiatives forward independently

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, able to align brand and sales marketing initiatives to broader organizational goals and revenue priorities

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-focused organization

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
