This role is within CG's Sourcing, Planning & Logistics organization. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Define sourcing strategies for multiple categories across Business Units on the basis of a common Corporate-wide procurement approach with Business Unit alignment and ensuring the implementation; identify the adequate methods and integrating diverse objectives to achieve the business targets and (ii) Partner with the Business Unit leaders to drive common Sourcing strategy that aligns with Business Unit goals and objectives; optimize quality, service and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define sourcing strategies for multiple categories across Business Units on the basis of a common Corporate-wide procurement approach with Business Unit alignment and ensuring the implementation; identify the adequate methods and integrating diverse objectives to achieve the business targets 
  • Partner with the Business Unit leaders to drive common Sourcing strategy that aligns with Business Unit goals and objectives; optimize quality, service and cost 
  • Advise Business Unit leaders on emerging technologies and innovation from suppliers to influence the Business Unit portfolio and improve product development efficiency 
  • Identify potential Supply Chain risks and corresponding mitigation strategies to the Business 
  • Advise Business Unit leaders in budget setting; manage budgets in alignment with key business initiatives; direct team to communicate changes/insights in raw material input prices to inform budgeting and pricing processes 
  • Support strategic planning process and provide organization with proactive information to improve decision-making, reduce cost, and enhance margins 
  • Ensure optimal procurement outcomes by directing team to develop and maintain the supplier relationships to ensure best in class pricing, supply chain continuity, and access to new material developments 
  • Develop and evolve Sourcing Roadmap for new and existing products to ensure robust supplier portfolio across multiple categories 
  • Ensure the execution of best practices programs and maximum value creation through the analysis of early supplier involvement, Supplier Owned and Managed Inventory, Supply Agreements, Should cost modeling, Make vs Buy, etc. 
  • Establish proper sourcing concepts and coordinate the Sourcing resources involved to achieve the Business Unit objective and execution of procurement-based initiatives 
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members 
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies 
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications 
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CGI mission, vision and values. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree 

Experience: 

  • 10+ years in Sourcing; 4+ years of people and project management 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Material Requirements or Enterprise Resource Planning; contract negotiations 

Other: 

  • Able to travel up to 30% - domestically and internationally 

Preferred Qualifications  

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent discipline 

Experience: 

  • Experience with International Suppliers 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficient in Spanish or Mandarin; SAP 


The pay range for this position is $149,814.00 - $246,856.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
