About PointFive

PointFive is the AI Efficiency OS. From the cloud to the coding agent, we're the only platform that manages AI spend everywhere it happens.

Engineering and FinOps teams use PointFive to make their organizations more efficient and their cloud and AI more effective. We don't just show what you spend. We show what you're wasting, and we fix it autonomously. NuBank saw ROI in 10 days. Customers average 1,200%+ ROI and a 4.9 rating on G2.

Founded by the team behind IntSights (acquired by Rapid7), PointFive recently closed a $60M Series B led by Accel, with participation from Entrée Capital and Salesforce Ventures.

THE ROLE

PointFive is the cloud and AI efficiency platform trusted by engineering and FinOps teams at some of the world's most sophisticated companies. We are well-funded, experiencing rapid growth, and actively shaping the category. In this role, you’ll be the person who ensures the world takes notice. This is a hands-on content creation position—not a strategy-deck-and-delegate job. You’ll write, produce, experiment, and deliver. Leveraging AI tools (like Claude, and any others you bring), you’ll move quickly without compromising quality. You’ll also continously deepen your understanding of what PointFive does and why it matters, because that understanding is what makes your content resonate.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  • Social content creation: Write and produce posts yourself. LinkedIn is home base, but you think beyond the platform. You know what works on Reddit, you understand why engineers hang out on GitHub, and you're not afraid to go where the audience actually is.

  • Brand voice and experimentation: Push our content to be more interesting, more human, more unexpected. Try things. See what works. Kill what doesn't. Bring a creative POV that goes well beyond 'here's our latest feature.'

  • Executive and team content: Help our leadership have a real presence online. Work closely with the CMO and others to develop posts, commentary, and bylines that feel authentic, not corporate ghostwriting.

  • Video and multimedia content: We already produce scripted video series, avatar-led change logs, and campaign content. You'll help shape narratives and co-produce content that's worth watching—not just content that exists.

  • Content calendar and editorial ops: Blog posts, newsletters, campaign content, launches. Keep the engine running, coordinate with product and demand gen, and make sure nothing important goes unannounced.

  • Technical translation: Learn our product deeply. Understand DeepWaste, our three-pillar framework (Capture → Detect → Resolve), and what makes us different. Then turn that into content non-engineers can feel and engineers can respect.

  • AEO/SEO content: Write for humans and LLMs. You understand how AI search is changing content distribution and build that thinking into everything you create.

  • Performance and iteration: Track what's working in HubSpot and Amplitude, share the learnings, and use them to get sharper.

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU'RE...

Community Native

  • Reddit doesn't intimidate you. You've posted in technical threads. You understand lurker culture.

AI-Fluent

  • You use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools daily to draft, edit, and produce — not as a gimmick, as a workflow.

Platform Curious

  • GitHub isn't a foreign country. You get why engineers live there and can imagine content that belongs in that world.

Non B2B Brain

  • Your content references come from outside the SaaS playbook. That's a feature, not a bug.

Technically Willing

  • You're not an engineer, but you're not afraid of cloud jargon. You'll learn what EC2 Spot waste means and make it interesting.

Low Ego, High Output

  • You'd rather ship something imperfect and learn than wait for perfect and miss the moment.

EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING
  • 5–8 years in content, social, or brand; B2B SaaS experience a plus

  • A portfolio that shows range: posts that performed, formats you invented, experiments that failed interestingly

  • Proven ability to write for technical audiences without losing the humans in the room

  • Experience owning social content end-to-end — strategy, creation, publishing, analysis

  • Comfort with AI content tools as part of your core workflow, not as an afterthought

BONUS POINTS
  • Background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, FinOps, or developer tooling

  • Experience producing or scripting video content

  • Active presence in technical communities — Reddit, GitHub, Discord, X

  • Built a content program from near-zero and know what that actually takes

  • Have opinions about what makes B2B content terrible — and have fixed it

WORKING AT POINTFIVE
  • Well-funded, growth-stage company with real customers and strong engineering credibility

  • Small, senior marketing team — your work ships, gets seen, and matters immediately

  • A culture that takes the problem seriously and itself lightly

  • Hybrid from Boston or NYC — we care about output, not face time

Equal Opportunity Statement
