Position summary:

The Staff Accountant position supports the corporate controller’s team by processing general ledger entries and completing GL account reconciliations, both daily and monthly. The ideal candidate is a “self-starter”, with the ability to work independently with limited supervision, keeping all relevant parties apprised of developments. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

We have a flexible work schedule where employees can work from home one day a week.

Essential functions and responsibilities

• Prepare and complete daily and monthly general ledger entries.
• Perform daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with compliance of OFAC review.
• Assist in compiling documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist and complete special projects and ad hoc requests.
• Process and payment of invoices in the Concur software including onboarding new vendors before payment.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word). 
• Good working knowledge of GAAP and bank accounting principles. 
• Complete tasks in a timely manner
• Work well independently as well as in a team orientated environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1-3 years total in a banking environment. Finxact core banking and Prologue general ledger is a +.

Potential Salary: $58,000 - $65,000 annually

This salary range reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
