Your Impact on our Mission
Zocdoc’s greatest asset is its people. As a Staff iOS Engineer on the Appointment and Post Appointment team, you’ll help facilitate the best possible appointments for patients and providers, and help make Zocdoc the preferred destination for all patients' healthcare needs. At our best, we empower patients to confidently make informed healthcare decisions while driving a significant, high-visibility impact on Zocdoc’s business. You’ll tackle complex technical challenges, simplifying an array of complex domains - including telemedicine, reviews, and electronic health records - into seamless, user-friendly mobile experiences.
As a Staff iOS Engineer, you’ll design, build, and optimize Zocdoc’s mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and intuitive. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams, shaping the future of our mobile experience while mentoring other engineers and championing best practices across the organization. Your day to day is…
- Making a meaningful impact as you participate in all phases of product development, including the design, development, testing, and release of patient-facing features
- Shipping production code using Swift that will impact our patients
- Building and fostering relationships with our agile team of engineers, product managers, and designers
- Mentoring your peers, with the notion that helping others means learning and growing yourself
- Guiding and improving the processes of our Mobile engineering team across the company
You’ll be successful in this role if you have…
- Meaningful (7+ years) experience in iOS development (Swift expertise is preferred)
- Passion for technology and the ability to think critically about performance, scalability, and reliability of software
- Designed and built user-facing applications that scale
- A fundamental understanding and experience with consuming backend API services (REST API and GQL)
- Successfully mentored other engineers in the past and encouraged your peers to use software development best practices for code testing and deployment
