About The Opportunity
As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you'll be a recognized domain authority and a driving force behind how we scale our technology and grow the business. You'll operate with significant autonomy — defining goals, workstreams, and constraints independently — to lead multi-quarter, high-visibility initiatives that span multiple teams. You'll use judgment across the full delivery lifecycle to make tradeoffs that optimize for the wider organization, not just your own program. Beyond your own initiatives, you'll be a role model and mentor for other TPMs, raising the bar for how program management is done.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Lead multi-quarter, high-visibility initiatives that span multiple teams, with urgency and ownership — driving new ways of working that get adopted broadly, not just delivering against a scoped plan.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration, overseeing planning and execution across programs with multiple dependencies and constraints; act as the connective tissue across Engineering, Product, and other functions. Implement communications standards across your portfolio of programs, including executive and key partner communications.
  • Independently identify solutions to ambiguous, complex, cross-program problems, acting with autonomy — and seek out change management opportunities that increase program velocity across multiple teams. Build new processes and mechanisms that scale beyond your own program, increasing efficiency and execution across the org.
  • Serve as the operational leader and hub for your embedded team — leading quarterly planning that translates priorities into a scoped, resourced plan, and running MBRs and WBRs with clear status, blockers, and next steps.
  • Provide escalation management and make tradeoffs, balancing business needs against technical constraints — understanding what technical decisions mean for scope, sequencing, and risk well enough to know when the call belongs to engineering.
  • Drive business results by executing key aspects of the company's strategic plan and roadmap, with plans spanning a quarter or more.
  • Mentor and set the bar for other TPMs, acting as a role model for the craft of program management.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5-7 years of technical program management experience, or comparable experience, preferably in the tech or food delivery industry.
  • Technical fluency to engage credibly on tradeoffs, pressure-test estimates and
dependencies, and understand what technical decisions mean for scope, sequencing, and risk — enough to know when a decision needs engineering's call, not to make it yourself. Hands-on familiarity with tools like Jellyfish, Jira (with JQL), SQL, Datadog, BigQuery, and Redash.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy — defining goals, workstreams, and constraints independently, without needing a manager's framing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to various audiences, altering the language and level of detail as appropriate.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve operating efficiency and implement solutions.

Got These? Even Better

  • Experience supporting M&A-driven IT and Finance Systems integration — onboarding acquired companies into corporate identity, collaboration, and financial systems, and decommissioning legacy infrastructure through divestiture or wind-down.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure projects tied to physical footprint changes — standing up network, systems, and endpoint support for new office or restaurant locations, and managing infrastructure decommissioning for site closures.
  • Experience leading large-scale platform consolidation and upgrade initiatives, such as merging multiple Jira/Atlassian instances, consolidating Google Workspace or M365 tenants, or identity provider migrations (e.g., Okta/Entra).
  • Familiarity with Identity & Access Management programs — access certifications, RBAC, provisioning/deprovisioning automation, and IAM tooling.
  • Experience supporting enterprise tool rollouts (e.g., Atlassian, Google Workspace, Gemini Enterprise, NetSuite, Workday, or similar), including operations, governance, data retention, and change management.

New York Base Salary: $162,000 - $170,000.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
