*** This is a part-time position with an expected schedule of approximately 24 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with the approved part-time schedule and other factors. 


Your Day to Day 
As a State Tax Senior Analyst you would be working on:  

  • Preparing and supporting recurring state tax compliance processes, including state income tax returns, payments, schedules, supporting documentation, and workpapers.  
  • Assisting with quarterly tax provision support and maintaining accurate, audit-ready documentation across recurring tax processes and filings.  
  • Responding to state tax notices, gathering supporting audit documentation, and partnering with internal teams to address tax-related requests and compliance needs.  
  • Supporting operational tax processes including business license filings, annual reports, customer requests for information, and sales tax exemption certificate tracking and documentation.  
  • Conducting tax research, summarizing findings clearly and concisely, and developing working knowledge of telecommunications taxes, fees, and related compliance requirements through ongoing training and collaboration with the broader tax team. 

What We’re Looking For  

As a State Tax Senior Analyst your background will look like:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field  
  • Experience preparing state and local tax returns and supporting recurring tax compliance processes  
  • Experience responding to state tax notices and maintaining organized supporting documentation and workpapers  
  • Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage responsibilities independently with strong follow-through  
  • Working knowledge of SALT fundamentals including income tax, sales/use tax, nexus, and indirect tax concepts, with the ability to research and communicate tax conclusions clearly  
  • Preferred experience with sales/use tax, tax provision support, Avalara, AvaTax, NetSuite, telecommunications tax, or public accounting environments

Annual Base Salary Range: $86,000.00 - $114,000.00

The above shows our ranges from minimum to maximum and is displayed in the full-time equivalent amount. Your compensation will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for a variable pay component and benefits.
