This role owns customer communications with key publishers and demand partner relationships, oversees account health, including growth and renewals, and overall customer satisfaction from a business perspective.

Working closely with Technical Account Management, Sales, Product, and Marketplace Operations, this role ensures customers realize maximum value from the SoundStack platform while identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and increase recurring revenue.

This individual will be strategic, analytical, and execution-focused. The ideal candidate combines day-to-day revenue monitoring with strategic marketing and audience storytelling to help publishers maximize their monetizable inventory and enable buyers to achieve campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management & Partnership Growth

  • Partner Management: Serve as a key business relationship owner and trusted operational advisor for strategic customer accounts. Understand each customer’s core business objectives and align SoundStack’s solutions accordingly.

  • Retention, Renewals & Recurring Revenue: Develop long-term account strategies focused on retention, expansion, and overall customer success. Oversee account health and customer satisfaction while actively identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and increase recurring revenue.

Serve as the business voice of the customer across Sales, Product, and Marketplace Operations to ensure partners realize maximum value from the SoundStack platform.

Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) & Strategic Client Insights

Lead comprehensive Quarterly Business Reviews for top strategic clients, combining data analytics and storytelling to drive account retention and expansion:

  • Core Revenue & Demand Breakdown: Present monthly billable impressions and billable revenue broken down by individual demand buyers.

  • Audience & Targeting Storytelling: Deliver reporting on brand suitability matches, IAB content categories (e.g., politics), and genre-based listener profiles to help publishers articulate their unique data story to buyers.

  • Market Trends & Strategy: Incorporate third-party research on podcast buying behavior and market shifts, and refresh campaign strategies to address the buyer’s current pressure points.

Partner Marketing & Sales Enablement

  • Custom Marketing Collateral: Work with the marketing department to build and update targeted marketing materials specific to clients, geographies, top-performing genre groups, and DSP-specific profiles.

  • Publisher Directory Management: Maintain external-facing publisher catalogs (collaborating with Marketplace Operations, who owns internal list maintenance) and maintain a list of publishers willing to participate in marketing materials and logo sharing.

  • AI Knowledge Base Maintenance: Maintain and update the Marketplace Operations Gem and sales enablement repositories with accurate sales-side materials, positioning guides, and collateral.
