Strategic Finance & Business Operations Lead

Blossom Health exists to solve the mental health epidemic in America by partnering with psychiatrists to expand access to affordable, timely, clinically-effective mental healthcare. Our AI-native care platform is loved by hundreds of clinicians and thousands of patients.

We’re a Series A company with $20M+ raised from Headline, Village Global, and the founders of General Catalyst, Flatiron Health, Sword Health, Grow Therapy, Fay, Elemy, Zip, Blank Street, Assured, Bridge, Birches Health, and Enzo Health.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Strategic Finance & Business Operations Lead to own the financial and analytical work behind some of Blossom’s most important business decisions.

This is not a generalist BizOps role. You’ll spend a significant amount of your time digging into the economics of the business: understanding our revenue structure, building financial models, evaluating new opportunities, and turning complex financial and operational data into decisions.

You’ll report directly to our Founder and work closely with leaders across the company as we scale.

Why You Should Work Here:
  • 🚀 Be early in a hyper-growth startup: Join the foundational team of a rapidly scaling company and help build the financial and operational infrastructure behind our next stage of growth

  • 📈 Work on decisions that matter: Your analysis won’t live in a deck. You’ll help answer questions that directly influence how we grow, where we invest, and how we build the business

  • 🤝 High trust and autonomy: Own meaningful work from day one, with the freedom to shape how problems are approached and solved

  • 🧠 Talent-dense team: Work alongside a top-percentile team with high standards, intellectual curiosity, and a shared ambition to build something consequential

  • 🏃 We move with speed and purpose: We value people who can move quickly, get deep into the details, and turn analysis into action

What You'll Do:
  • Own financial analysis and modeling across revenue, growth, unit economics, and strategic initiatives

  • Develop a deep understanding of Blossom’s revenue structure and identify opportunities to improve the economics of the business

  • Build models and analyses that inform company-level decisions around growth, investment, resource allocation, and new opportunities

  • Partner with the Founder and business leaders on high-priority strategic and operational projects

  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations and actionable decisions

  • Build reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes as the company scales

  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, markets, and strategic initiatives from both a financial and operational perspective

  • Move beyond the analysis when needed and help execute on the opportunities you identify

You'll Be a Good Fit If:
  • You have 2–6 years of professional experience, with a strong foundation in finance and financial analysis

  • You have experience in investment banking, equity research, private equity, hedge funds, or another rigorous investing/financial environment

  • You’re exceptionally strong in financial modeling and comfortable getting deep into revenue structures, unit economics, and business performance

  • You have a track record of outperforming in highly selective, demanding environments

  • You can take a complicated or ambiguous question, structure it quickly, and arrive at a thoughtful answer

  • You’re commercially minded. You care about what the numbers actually mean for the business, not just producing the analysis

  • You have a strong bias for action and are excited to operate beyond the traditional boundaries of a finance role

  • You communicate clearly and can turn detailed analysis into a compelling recommendation

  • You’re excited by the opportunity to work directly with a Founder and take on increasingly broad ownership as the company grows

  • You’re authorized to work in the United States

  • You’re excited to be in-person in New York City 5 days a week

Bonus: You’ve spent several years in investment banking or another rigorous finance environment and have since moved into strategic finance, business operations, or a similar role at a high-growth startup.

What We're Looking For:
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and capable - you want to tackle large, meaningful problems and hold yourself to a high bar

  • Ownership mindset - you think long-term and put the business and our customers first

  • High velocity and high excellence - you move with urgency without sacrificing the quality of your work

  • Analytically rigorous - you’re comfortable going several layers deeper than the obvious answer

  • Commercially curious - you want to understand how and why a business works, not just report what happened

  • An explorer - you’re comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and questions that don’t have an existing playbook

  • Humble - you use your strengths in service of the team and understand that success is an output, not an input

Compensation & Benefits:
  • $120,000–$180,000 base salary

  • Meaningful equity ownership

  • Significant growth opportunities as the company scales

  • Beautiful, sunshine and snack-filled office in the heart of Flatiron, Manhattan

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • A focus on outcomes, not hours

  • Team outings, offsites, and unlimited PTO
