Reporting To: Senior Vice President, Strategic Finance and FP&A 

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Location: Hybrid in New York City 


The anticipated salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $120,000.00/Yr. - $130,000.00/Yr. and is bonus eligible.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Role Overview:

Audacy is seeking a high-performing Manager, Strategic Finance & FP&A to drive the financial planning and operational analysis for our Podcasting division while providing corporate finance support at the total-company level.

This role partners closely with the SVP of Strategic Finance, providing hands-on execution support across both podcasting business partnering and corporate finance deliverables. You will bridge the gap between financial analysis and business strategy—translating operational metrics into actionable insights for podcast leadership while supporting enterprise-level executive reporting.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:


Podcasting Business Partnering & Operational FP&A:

  • Executive Business Partnering: Act as a trusted financial partner to Podcasting leadership, Content Development, and Sales Ops, translating operational drivers into financial strategies to maximize division profitability.
  • Business Unit Reporting: Lead the monthly reporting package for the Podcasting division, delivering variance analysis, KPI performance tracking, and operational commentary to podcast leadership. 
  • P&L & Forecast Ownership: Lead monthly rolling forecasting, annual budgeting, and financial performance tracking for the podcasting business unit.
  • Deal Strategy & Commercial Support: Model investment ROI and commercial deal structures for new talent acquisitions, show renewals, and strategic content partnerships.
  • Monetization & Yield Optimization: Partner with ad sales and operations to track yield, inventory utilization, CPM trends, and cost-to-serve dynamics.
  • Financial Operations Oversight: Oversee high-level show financial workflows, ensuring seamless alignment between content operations, vendor invoice processing, and creator payout compliance.

Total-Company Strategic Finance:

  • Senior Leadership, Executive & Board Packages: Support preparation of monthly executive reporting packs and quarterly operating reviews; assist in building Board of Directors (BOD) presentation materials.
  • Enterprise Long-Range Planning: Support multi-year 3-statement modeling and the company's long-range planning process.
  • Ad-Hoc Strategic Analysis: Support ad-hoc financial analysis for executive decision-making, including partnership evaluations and cost-efficiency initiatives (with occasional exposure to M&A or strategic transaction analysis as needed).
  • Process & Tool Modernization: Partner across departments to simplify financial consolidation, automate reporting workflows, and enhance business intelligence tools.
Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

  • Experience: 2–5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting.
  • Industry Exposure: Exposure to Digital Media, Podcasting, Audio, Entertainment, or Advertising Technology preferred, but not required.
  • Business Partnering: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with cross-functional partners outside of finance (Sales, Content, Product, Ops).
  • Financial Modeling: Strong 3-statement modeling skills, scenario planning, and commercial deal evaluation.
  • Executive Communication: Ability to package complex quantitative data into clean visual slides and summaries for executive review.
  • Systems & Tools: Proficiency with core financial tools (advanced Excel required; working experience with NetSuite or Tableau is a plus).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
