About this role

Capital is necessary in every business, but at Faire it serves as a core value proposition to our customers. The Finance & Strategy team ensures we have access to it and are spending it effectively, but also wears several other hats at Faire including strategic growth planning, company-wide performance management, and business analysis. As part of this team, you will help inform how Faire can optimally allocate capital in the form of customer benefits that translates to sustainable growth and customer loyalty. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a dynamic, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment and have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of functions.

What you’ll do

  • Identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, and execute in-depth analyses to inform product strategy and execution for Faire’s proprietary financial products
  • Own forecasting, goal-setting, and tracking of key inputs that drive ROI across Faire’s financial value props to inform company-level capital and resource allocation decisions
  • Support company-wide capital markets strategies that ensure Faire remains front footed on the financing required to fuel program benefits
  • Lead strategic planning across key growth initiatives and new product launches
  • Enable the organization to remain highly data-driven at scale by synthesizing insights, building financial models, and developing KPIs for real-time performance monitoring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in strategic finance, private equity / credit / venture capital, investment banking, and/or management consulting
  • Investor mindset: nose for value with a broad toolkit to reason about risk/reward
  • Strong modeling muscle: able to build and stress-test financial models that reflect a point of view, not just spreadsheet theory
  • Analytical rigor: synthesize information, decompose problems, and use data and logic to diagnose root causes—comfortable going deep on unit economics without losing the strategic question
  • Excellent communication: credible, structured storytelling for executives and cross-functional partners; able to zoom-in and zoom-out between detail and narrative
  • Cross-functional: track record building trust and influencing results alongside a variety of different stakeholder groups
  • Team-oriented: motivated by business outcomes and being great at your craft in service of enabling them

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech and/or SMB enablement technology
  • Knowledge of SQL

Salary Range

San Francisco and New York City: the pay range for this role is $164,000 to $225,500 per year.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
