Own go-to-market strategy, sales operations, pricing, growth planning, and financial modeling for a space hardware startup. Qualify leads, manage deals, capture customer requirements, model unit economics and production capacity, establish GTM goals and KPIs, prioritize target markets, and track competitive trends. Partner with founders, engineering, and supply chain to align pricing and cost estimates with real BOMs, vendor quotes, manufacturing plans, and customer demand.

They say the best deployable is no deployable, but we believe large deployable mechanisms are the future for large infrastructure in space.

At Beyond Reach Labs, we are designing and building the largest deployable structures ever flown to space so that we can power the next generation of satellite services.

Our first product, Flarewing™, is a deployable solar array built on our proprietary architecture. It aims to deliver the largest, stiffest solar area in the smallest stowed volume.

You will be BRL's first dedicated go-to-market hire and the founders' strategic partner. Your job is to make our sales sharper, faster, and grounded in data. You will own our pricing and growth plans, help founders decide which customers and markets to pursue, and turn those decisions into clear goals the company can execute against.

This is a hands-on role. One day you might build a proposal for a satellite operator. The next you might model margins on a new array size, or bring the leadership team a recommendation on where to focus next quarter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads, track deals, manage follow-ups, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks

  • Capture objections, requirements, and buying processes from customers

  • Build and maintain BRL's core financial models: unit economics, COGS, pricing, gross margin, and learning-curve cost reduction across product sizes

  • Model product revenue, including production volume, capacity, and working capital needs

  • Partner with engineering and supply chain to keep cost estimates tied to real BOMs, vendor quotes, and manufacturing plans

  • Work with founders to shape BRL's target segments and customer prioritization

  • Set GTM goals and milestones, and define and track the KPIs that show whether we're hitting them

  • Track market, customer, and competitor trends

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years in GTM strategy, business or revenue operations, FP&A, management consulting, or investment banking

  • Built financial models from scratch that leadership used to make decisions on pricing, investment, or fundraising

  • Supported complex contracts worth $1M or more

  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, finds the information they need, and delivers without waiting for direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a hardware, aerospace, or deep-tech company, ideally one that went from prototype to production

  • Modeled BOM-driven COGS, learning curves, capacity, inventory, and cash conversion

  • Background in space, satellites, or defense

  • Familiarity with government contracting and export-controlled sales

  • An engineering or technical degree

  • Was an early business hire at a venture-backed startup or a former founder

Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to support critical project milestones.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for authorization under U.S. export regulations.
