The Strategy & Operations Associate will lead procurement operations, optimizing processes, managing a team, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

The Position: As Lightyear’s S&O associate leading procurement operations, you’ll help Lightyear build out processes for and scale our telecom quoting and implementations functions. In this role, you will help manage a team of quoting, installation, and telecom service delivery specialists who work closely with Lightyear’s sales team, telecom providers and our customers to deliver the best possible customer experience. With strong performance and tenure, you can grow to oversee even more of the Operations function within Lightyear and play an influential role in Operations strategy. In this role, you will report to our Head of Operations, and work closely with sales and product leadership as well.
This position will be full-time, remote, and salaried with top-tier cash and equity compensation (compensation package determined by experience and fit). Base salary will range between $90-120k with bonus and equity package.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Lightyear’s operations’ team’s efforts around quoting and telecom service installations to drive a best-in-class customer experience
- Define and track team and individual KPIs to ensure continuous improvement
- Define and continuously optimize quoting and implementation processes based on learnings to drive a better, cheaper, faster customer experience
- Hire and onboard new product operations team members as we grow to ensure a seamless customer delivery experience
- Partner with Sales and Product to look for areas that can be made more efficient either through additional team resources, process improvements or product enhancements
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of investment banking, consulting, startup operations, or related top-tier post college experience
- Demonstrated excellent project management skills, ability to manage and manipulate large data sets, critically analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Demonstrated high EQ, as this role requires influencing internal and external parties to achieve particular outcomes on short timelines
- Bonus if located in NYC
