ABOUT THE ROLE

Nova Credit is seeking a Strategy & Partnerships Manager, Auto to join our Go-to-Market team to help build and scale our newest vertical, the auto lending business, as the “right hand” to our Head of Auto.

From the start, you'll be in customer meetings, on deal calls, and in front of lender teams. Behind the scenes, you’ll run the engine that keeps our lender relationships moving: managing deal work plans, chasing down open contract and legal questions, building business cases and deal materials, and making sure every account has a clear strategy and next step.

Success in this role means deals that move faster with nothing falling through the cracks, enablement content our partners actually use, and a Head of Auto who spends more time in front of customers. You’ll work across every part of Nova, with real exposure to senior leaders here and at some of the largest lenders in the country. This is a new role on a fast-growing team, with clear paths to grow into account ownership or other roles across Nova.

This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days per week in our NYC office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) reporting to our Head of Auto, with travel to lender sites, dealer groups, and industry events ~20% of the time. Candidates based in NYC are preferred; we welcome candidates willing to relocate to the New York City Metropolitan Area to apply, and we provide relocation support.

WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Understand Nova Credit’s value proposition, products, and processes, and where they fit within the auto lending lifecycle
  • Learn our lender prospects’ and customers’ business models, organizations, and the pain points that exist within auto finance
  • Get up to speed on every active deal: stakeholders, status, open commercial and legal questions, and next steps
  • Join customer meetings alongside the Head of Auto and take ownership of prep, follow-ups, and recaps

WITHIN THE FIRST QUARTER, YOU’LL:

  • Master Nova Credit’s product suite with a deep focus on auto use cases
  • Manage the behind-the-scenes deal process across our accounts: workplans, contract and legal follow-ups, security and compliance questionnaires, and internal approvals
  • Build business cases and deal materials for each opportunity, and partner with our Strategy & Finance team on pricing proposals and approvals
  • Stand up a living strategy page for each lender (commercials, contract terms, product configuration, stakeholders, and status) so the team has a single “command center” for auto
  • Develop the first version of our enablement toolkit, including sales narratives, pitch materials, and training decks, and lead training sessions with partner teams
  • Prepare materials for QBRs and executive meetings, tailored to audiences across lenders, dealers, and strategic partners

WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR, YOU’LL:

  • Be the operating engine of the auto deal process, with deals moving on a predictable cadence and open questions resolved quickly
  • Standardize the auto toolkit: business case templates, proposal and pitch decks, and QBR approach
  • Scale enablement programs across multiple lender partners, leading sessions and using performance data to refine what’s working
  • Help shape our auto go-to-market strategy alongside Strategy & Finance, bringing customer and market insight to the table
  • Serve as Nova’s “voice of the auto lending customer” by surfacing lender and dealer feedback and advocating for roadmap priorities
  • Take on increasing ownership of accounts and customer interactions as you grow in the role

YOUR SKILLSET:

  • 4+ years of experience in a structured, client-facing role such as management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, business operations, or enterprise partnerships; management consulting experience is highly valued
  • Curious and adaptable: you’re energized by variety and quick to get up to speed on whatever lands on your plate, whether it’s a stalled deal, a contract question, a training session, or a partner evaluation
  • Storytelling and slide craft: you can turn messy inputs into a clear storyline and polished, client-ready decks, fast
  • Confident presenter: you’re comfortable in front of customers, whether supporting an executive meeting or leading a training session with a room full of sales reps
  • Strong analytical skills: you’re fluent in Excel, can build a business case a lender’s finance team would trust, and can contribute to pricing and business model discussions
  • Project management discipline: you can run many workstreams at once with clear workplans, owners, and follow-ups
  • Structured thinking on your feet: you can frame a problem quickly and land on a sensible recommendation, in a doc or in a live meeting
  • Comfort with the details: you’re happy to dig into contracts, commercial terms, and compliance questions, and to chase down answers across Legal, Finance, and Product
  • Hyper-ownership with coachability: a strong sense of urgency and accountability, paired with an appetite for feedback and continuous improvement

Nice to have: experience in auto finance, consumer lending, or fintech; experience building sales enablement or training programs
