Here's what you'll do day to day:

Studio Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of all production studios, ensuring optimal functionality and availability for members.
  • Coordinate studio bookings, and any off-hours production needs, managing the tech team schedules to maximize usage and minimize conflicts.
  • Implement and enforce studio policies and procedures to ensure a professional and safe environment for creators and The Lighthouse teams.
  • Explore new and innovative strategies to create content with our teams, members, and during events.
  • Ensure that all studio spaces are properly maintained, including equipment upkeep, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Manage the inventory of studio equipment, facilitating regular checks, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
  • Execute marketing and content briefs with precision, ensuring alignment with brand voice, campaign objectives, and delivery timelines.

Team Development & Training

  • Lead and inspire a small team of studio technicians and assistants, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Create and maintain operational playbooks and SOPs that promote consistency, clarity, and accountability throughout the campus departments.
  • Coach and mentor team staff, focusing on technical training, development, conflict resolution, and team performance.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture to assess team needs, identify training gaps, and coordinate professional development opportunities.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical support to creators using the studios, assisting with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and best practices for production.
  • Ensure technology systems are operational, minimizing downtime for members and staff.
  • Work closely with the IT teams troubleshooting issues with end-users, the network and systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest production technologies and trends to ensure the studios remain cutting-edge and relevant to the needs of creators.
  • Design and execute audio visual productions for The Lighthouse events.
  • Work closely with the Tech Team to address any technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to studio operations.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other department leads to align studio services with The Lighthouse’s broader objectives and initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with members to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities to enhance the studio experience.
  • Coordinate with third party teams including external vendors, content creators, production teams, editors and service providers.
  • Escalate technical issues with AV and IT equipment and systems to the direct supervisor when no resolution is found within 24 hours.

Budget Management

  • Manage the budget for studio operations, including equipment purchases, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Track expenses and provide regular financial reports to the General Manager, identifying areas for potential savings or investment.

Operational Excellence & Campus Management

  • Partner with other campus leaders to execute daily operations to ensure seamless campus experiences for members, guests, and staff.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to assess functionality, cleanliness, safety, and ambiance—escalating and resolving issues as needed.
  • Serve as the on-the-floor operational lead at times.
Here's what we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in studio management, production, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of production.
  • Technical proficiency in studio equipment, including cameras, lighting, sound, and editing software.
  • Proven track record of developing high-performing teams through coaching, training, and intentional leadership.
  • Deep understanding of systems, workflows, and organizational efficiency in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing multi-functional teams, schedules, and cross-department initiatives.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfort with CRM systems and operational software—experience with PeopleVine a plus.
  • Passion for creative environments and an appreciation for the needs of creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
