The Summer 2026 Internship program at Vevo is a paid opportunity designed for qualified students to gain hands-on experience while learning about the media and entertainment industry. We are seeking a Business Affairs and Business Development (BABD) intern to join our team of talented dealmakers that are working to take Vevo’s business to the next level with a particular emphasis on forging new connected TV distribution partnerships. This role reports to the Director of Business Affairs and Manager of Business Development.
The Business Development team plays a critical role in the company’s evolving distribution strategy, ensuring that Vevo builds smart, innovative partnerships that will propel the business to new heights. The Business Affairs team oversees Vevo’s global legal affairs, providing business and legal counsel to all internal departments and reviewing and negotiating agreements to help Vevo achieve its commercial objectives, while minimizing risk. As a BABD Intern, you will help to support Vevo's evolving distribution strategy. This includes navigating the dynamic TV landscape to identify optimal ways to monetize Vevo's content. You will gain valuable insights about negotiation, learning how to align stakeholder interests to forge successful, long-term partnerships, and gain a broader understanding of the music rights ecosystem.
This is a part-time Hybrid position for Summer 2026.
As a member of the team you will:
- Conduct analysis of the CTV landscape and industry trends and share key findings from the marketplace with the team, e.g. competitive analyses, expansion opportunities in Vevo’s distribution markets etc.
- Monitor legislative developments in generative AI and data privacy regulations
- Support preparation of financial models for negotiations and work with the team to develop recommendations to present to key stakeholders
- Work with members of the BD team to create presentation decks that will be used in meetings with external stakeholders, primarily Vevo’s music label and distribution partners
- Monitor and process copyright takedown requestsAssist in the enforcement of Vevo’s intellectual property rights
- Review content license and distribution agreements and extract key terms for database entry
- Assist in administering Vevo’s contract lifecycle management system and track upcoming windows for agreement renewals, expirations, and notice periods.
- Aid team members in day-to-day deal activity
This describes you:
- Proficient in Excel and experience (either professional or academic) in building, explaining, and defending financial models
- Strong presentation skills helping translate the analysis to insights and "take aways" that drive decision making
- Business savvy and a pragmatic thinker
- Ability to distill complex data and research and articulate and defend findings clearly and persuasively
- Works well in a collaborative environment
- Ability to translate high-level strategy to its day-to-day implementation
- A passion for music, entertainment, TV, and digital media
Requirements:
- Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Desire to pursue a career in the media industry
- 30 hours per week June 8th - July 31, 2026
The pay range for this position is $20 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Transparency Law.
This part-time, hybrid position requires interns to work on-site at least three times per week.
