About the Opportunity:

Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire dynamic, hard-working Summer Camp Coordinators to join our Summer Camp Team. Chelsea Piers Camps in Manhattan offer engaging and challenging sports summer camp programs for children aged preschool and up in our state-of-the-art athletic facilities. Summer Camp Coordinators wear many hats in overseeing our Summer Camp Programs and have the opportunity to learn all parts of the Chelsea Piers business. Working as a Summer Camp Coordinator is a great way to gain experience and start your career at a world-class, growing sports and fitness company.

Summer Camp Coordinators will be expected to work five days a week starting late spring through Labor Day. Some weeks will include Saturday or Sunday.

As a Summer Camp Coordinator, you will be expected to:

  • Promote and sell Chelsea Piers Summer Camp 

  • Manage camper registration, payment, and medical data 

  • Provide excellent customer service to camp parents, on the phone, via email, and face-to-face 

  • Work with Camp Directors and staff to troubleshoot and solve problems 

  • Coordinate transportation schedule and daily transportation needs 

  • Complete other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

About You: 

You are professional, punctual, and friendly. You have exceptional customer service on the phone, via email, and face-to-face. You also have: 

  • A working knowledge and comfort with basic business technology systems 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with children and parents 

  • Ability to be flexible and remain calm and alert in stressful situations while remaining positive and energetic 

  • A neat and tidy appearance
