DCWP’s Licensing Division seeks a Supervisor to direct and manage process applications for categories the Agency licenses, including but not limited to, the new Hotel License Category. Working closely with the Assistant Supervisor, the Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations of the Unit.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Mange the day to day operations of the unit;
- Supervise staff, including tracking and assigning tasks, to ensure productivity and effectiveness, conducting training and providing guidance;
- Develop, document and implement internal systems, policies, and procedures that help to organize and guide the division’s work and operations, document database issues, and improve overall performance;
- Perform ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments, completing close outs, and other tasks as assigned;
- Check records for accuracy of information and for conformity with established policy and procedures;
- Conduct intake of applications and related research and activities including liaising with DCWP General Counsel staff members;
- Process applications in all DCWP categories as needed;
- Back up other supervisors and units as directed;
- Collaborate with Division Leadership to coordinate and manage special projects related to license category templates and forms, including the implementation of forms for the new Hotel license category;
- Simplify and streamline information provided licensees including Hotels;
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings with external and internal stakeholders;
- Directly coordinating day-to-day implementation of Licensing projects and tasks;
- Conduct complex system searches, reviewing documentation for accuracy, data entry and quality assurance for both their own work and over the work of the unit;
- Prioritize assignments and effectively implement strategies for special projects and initiatives;
- Assessing staff performance accurately and providing feedback to motivate and/or improve performance levels;
- Compiling data to identify productivity; and/or categorical trends in order to determine potential areas for streamlining, re-engineering, and training;
- Identifying administrative and operational problems and providing recommendations for efficiency;
- Reviewing and analyzing operational procedures to ensure uniformity and consistency throughout the unit.
- Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred skills: significant experience with mediation and reconciliation, as well an understanding of intake and processing procedures.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
