Job Description

This role is based in our New York or Santa Monica office.

We are seeking an exceptional commercial and strategic leader to drive the Americas business for our Cyber portfolio. This role carries full P&L accountability for considerable portfolio encompassing flagship brands including Black Hat USA, Sector, our LATAM Cyber event, and future regional launches.

As SVP Americas, you will be a transformational leader responsible for accelerating growth, driving commercial excellence, and building a high-performing organization. You will lead a team of Event Directors with individual P&L accountability and the VP Sales and regional sales teams to maximize revenue performance and market penetration.

This is a role for a proven commercial operator who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution excellence, someone who can scale businesses, develop talent, and deliver consistent double-digit growth in dynamic, competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership & P&L Management

  • Full P&L ownership for the Americas portfolio with accountability for revenue, margin, and profit delivery
  • Drive double-digit revenue growth year-over-year through strategic planning, market expansion, and commercial innovation
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans for each brand, balancing investment, growth, and profitability
  • Identify and capitalize on new revenue streams, product innovations, and market opportunities
  • Lead pricing strategy, commercial positioning, and go-to-market approaches across the portfolio

Strategic Direction & Portfolio Development

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for Cyber in the Americas, aligning with global divisional objectives
  • Lead the launch and scaling of new events and products in the region, from concept through commercialization
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to inform portfolio strategy
  • Drive strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and business development opportunities
  • Champion innovation in event formats, digital integration, and customer experience

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Event Directors, each with full P&L accountability for their respective brands
  • Lead the VP Sales Americas and their teams to drive commercial performance and customer acquisition
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results
  • Attract, retain, and develop top commercial talent across the organization
  • Foster cross-brand collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive efficiency and best practice

Sales & Customer Excellence

  • Work in close partnership with sales leadership to set targets, drive pipeline, and close strategic deals
  • Cultivate relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers across cyber security
  • Champion customer-centric approaches that drive satisfaction, retention, and lifetime value
  • Oversee sponsorship strategy and execution, ensuring maximum value delivery for partners
  • Lead key client negotiations and strategic account management for top-tier customers

Operational Excellence & Execution

  • Working with the Head of Operations, ensure flawless event delivery across all brands, maintaining quality standards and brand integrity
  • Drive operational efficiency and margin improvement through process optimization and resource management
  • Oversee risk management, compliance, and governance across the portfolio
  • Collaborate with global teams on shared services, technology platforms, and operational infrastructure
  • Monitor KPIs and business metrics, taking decisive action to address performance gaps

Qualifications

  • Considerable and progressive commercial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in senior P&L ownership roles
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent double-digit growth in competitive B2B markets
  • Deep experience in the events, media, or B2B information services industries (cyber security experience highly valued)
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and scaling high-performing commercial teams
  • Experience managing multi-brand portfolios with complex stakeholder environments

  • Exceptional commercial acumen with strong financial literacy and P&L management expertise
  • Strategic thinker with ability to translate vision into executable plans and measurable results
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including new market entry and product launches

  • Deep understanding of B2B events business models, revenue drivers, and market dynamics
  • Strong network within cyber security preferred or proven ability to learn and adapt to new, complex markets
  • Knowledge of Americas market landscape, customer segments, and competitive positioning
  • Understanding of digital transformation trends impacting live events and customer engagement

The salary range for this role is $180,000- $220,000 + bonus potential based on experience.
