Job Description:

The Senior Vice President, Paid Social will manage media planning, optimization, and the strategic vision for several of dentsu’s largest paid social clients. 

The main responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee the full adoption, strategy and implementation of dentsu's paid social planning process.

  • Actively participate in new business pitch work, inclusive of representing Paid Social in actual in-room client presentations.

  • Help drive more effective media operations integration and best practices with Media teams to ensure 100% error-free activation.

This role requires deep digital subject matter expertise within paid social, team leadership experience and strong operational skills. Executive-level client management and presentation skills are a critical competency in this role. 

This position reports to our EVP, Head of Paid Social, will be managing a senior level team, is excited to build and be embedded in the work, owning client relationships, and driving new business.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee media delivery and ensure a best-in-class work product supporting dentsu's paid social value proposition

  • Contribute and create thought leadership with a perspective on the paid social industry

  • Standardize briefing, planning & optimization processes 

  • Apply a media operations best practices playbook across all media accounts, ensuring compliance and error-free media activation

  • Support the paid social department in recruiting, hiring, and career-pathing of next-generation media leaders

  • Act as a Paid Social SME in new pitches and for current clients

  • Contribute to product and capability development, as well as overall value proposition and acquisition strategy

Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of experience in digital media agencies, with a focus on paid media and paid social

  • Experience managing teams of paid social professionals and contributing strategically to the social senior leadership team

  • Media savvy, with an understanding of influencer and organic

  • Deep expertise of Paid Social required - both in platform and around broader industry trends.

  • Past success sharing social innovation, a perspective on the industry and a forward-thinking vision of what could be next

  • Has managed executive level client relationships, while being deeply embedded in the work, building paid social capabilities and working within the platforms we work in every day 

  • Driven new business initiatives, working closely with teams to own the process from start to finish. 

Additional Information:

At dentsu, we believe great work happens when we’re connected. Our way of working combines flexibility with in-person collaboration to spark ideas and strengthen our teams. Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $195K- $245K. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
