Job Description
Position Summary
The Vice President/Senior Vice President will join Brookfield’s Investment Specialist team in New York as a product specialist role focused on fundraising and business development for Brookfield’s Infrastructure, Renewable Power & Transition funds.
This is a client facing role that involves being an expert on all aspects of Brookfield’s Infrastructure, Renewable Power & Transition fund offerings with institutional investors, investment consultants, and private wealth investors globally across the U.S., Europe, Asia Pacific and South America.
There will be significant collaboration with members of the firm’s infrastructure and transition group, client relationship managers (“CRMs”), marketing, fundraise and due diligence management, and other groups.
Responsibilities
Product knowledge: be a subject matter expert on Brookfield’s Infrastructure, Renewable Power & Transition funds and investments by participating in internal investment and asset management meetings to be able to communicate the group’s investors effectively to investors and the market
Fundraising and business development: lead or participate in fundraising initiatives by meeting with prospective clients and during roadshows, investor events, conferences, which will include frequent travel to various parts of the world
Product launches: be an active participant in forming and executing fundraising strategies and drive fundraising momentum in the market by partnering with CRMs, the Infrastructure, Renewable Power & Transition groups and fundraise management
Investment Product Messaging: help develop and refine investor messaging to engage clients and prospects, in coordination with the CRMs
Marketing: Partner with the marketing team on idea creation and development of materials for investors, including presentations, white papers and other investor communications
Strategic Initiatives: assist in researching and implementation of new product ideas and support the build-out of distribution capabilities with new markets, investor types and product offerings
Qualifications
7+ years of total professional experience in any of the following disciplines within real assets: investing/asset management, investment banking, corporate development, investor relations
Proven ability to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with investors
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) – must show aptitude for explaining technical concepts clearly and simply to clients
Superior listening, problem solving and follow up skills
Ability to balance internal and external demands and priorities
Strong relationships skills and ability to collaborate across groups and share information
Self-starter who originates ideas, and identifies and captures opportunities
Highly collaborative; strong team player
Salary Range: $225k - $300K
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
