ABOUT THE ROLE

Roland Foods is seeking a reliable, personable, and highly organized individual to join our People & Culture team as a Talent Acquisition Associate! This cross-functional role supports the full-cycle recruitment process across two portfolio organizations. The Talent Acquisition Associate will coordinate candidate interviews and communications, support sourcing and recruitment initiatives, partner with hiring managers, and contribute to employer branding efforts. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented communicator who is passionate about creating a positive and engaging candidate experience. This role reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager and works cross-functionally with key operational stakeholders, including Sales, Procurement, Operations, Creative/Marketing, Legal and Finance.

As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support full-cycle recruitment for two portfolio companies (~300 employees) by coordinating interviews, managing candidate logistics, and maintaining candidate pipelines in Greenhouse (ATS)
  • Develop close and trust-based relationships with hiring managers and leaders
  • Review resumes and ensure accurate tracking of candidate progress, recruiting data, and documentation in Greenhouse
  • Conduct preliminary candidate screenings for junior-level roles and support recruiting efforts across our U.S. warehouses
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates and deliver a respectful, smooth, and informative candidate experience throughout the interview process
  • Collaborate with external staffing agencies to support hiring needs and maintain effective communication throughout the recruiting process
  • Contribute to the execution of key recruiting initiatives and programs, including recruitment marketing efforts, internship programs, and other ad hoc projects
  • Support candidate sourcing efforts by identifying and engaging potential candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and other channels
  • Be a Roland Foods ambassador who can generate excitement and interest through their own passion and knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

  • 1-3 years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition, human resources or related operational role
  • Proven success in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solver, independent thinker, and analytical powerhouse who is excited to use data to optimize processes

Preferred

  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Experiencing sourcing via LinkedIn and other sources
  • Passion for building an intentionally diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace
  • Passion for all things food!

SALARY RANGE

Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $65,000 - $70,000.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferable skills, the Company will determine, at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
