Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter

Heritage Engineering HoldCo

Location: Flexible • Level: Junior (1–4 yrs)

About Heritage Engineering HoldCo

Heritage Engineering HoldCo is a growing platform in the engineering services industry, spanning civil, structural, MEP, and surveying and inspection work across the country. We partner with excellent, founder-led engineering firms, helping them build stronger operations, deeper leadership benches, and growth, while preserving their local expertise, client relationships, and reputations. We are actively growing the platform, and building the people and systems to support that growth is a core part of our strategy.

The Role

We’re looking for a scrappy, hungry Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter to own hiring across our four engineering companies today — and to grow with us as we add more businesses to the platform. This is a hands-on, full-cycle recruiting role for someone early in their career who wants real ownership, a genuine interest in the engineering and industrial space, and the appetite to help build a recruiting and development function from the ground up.

You’ll partner closely with hiring managers across our operating companies, run searches end to end, and over time help stand up the training and development programs that support talent platform-wide. If you like rolling up your sleeves, moving fast, and building something that doesn’t exist yet, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across our engineering companies — sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and closing candidates.

  • Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand each company’s hiring needs and build tailored search strategies.

  • Build and manage a healthy candidate pipeline, with a focus on engineering and technical/industrial roles.

  • Help stand up training and development programs that support talent across the platform.

  • Scale recruiting processes to support new companies as the platform grows through acquisition.

  • Track pipeline metrics and keep hiring data organized and up to date.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–4 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related people/operations role. Strong candidates early in their careers are encouraged to apply.

  • Scrappy and hungry: you take ownership, work hard, and figure things out without waiting to be told.

  • Genuine interest in the engineering and industrial space — you like the work our companies do.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring managers.

  • Highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple searches across multiple companies.

  • Adaptable and excited to help build processes and programs in a fast-changing, acquisitive environment.

Nice to Have

  • Prior exposure to engineering, technical, or industrial recruiting.

  • Experience with an applicant tracking system

  • Experience helping build or run training and development programs.

  • Prior experience working in a recruiter role in an in-house or agency environment.

Why This Role

  • Real ownership early in your career — you’ll run searches end to end and see your impact directly.

  • A platform that’s growing: recruit for four companies today, with room to expand as we acquire more.

  • The chance to build recruiting processes and development programs that will shape how the whole platform hires and grows talent.
