Executive Talent Associate

Our incubation arm, Primary Labs, launched in 2019 to ideate, research, and launch new startups from the ground up. Primary’s first three incubations alone are on track to return the first fund many times over, and we’re now scaling our incubation efforts meaningfully.

Primary Labs is hiring an Executive Talent Associate to join our Executive Recruiting team and help identify, and attract world-class Founders for new incubations. You’ll report to our Executive Recruiter and play a critical role by owning market mapping, sourcing, research, and coordination to ensure we run a high-quality, efficient search process.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who’s excited to work across multiple searches simultaneously, develop deep recruiting expertise, and operate with pace, precision, and judgment in a fast-moving environment.

• Source and engage exceptional Founder (CEO and CTO) candidates for our incubations.

• Lead the full-cycle recruiting process for Operator in Residence roles, including sourcing, screening, coordination, and offer support.

• Manage all candidate logistics and coordination from start to finish, ensuring a white glove experience for candidates and hiring teams alike.

• Partner closely with the Executive Recruiter and hiring team to understand search priorities and quickly calibrate on ideal profiles.

• Keep our recruiting data clean and up-to-date across systems (ATS, sourcing tools, dashboards).

• Partner with the PrimaryOS team to identify opportunities to automate sourcing, talent mapping, and pipeline-building

• Continuously look for ways to improve our sourcing and coordination processes.

• 2-5 years of experience in a recruiting, research, or sales role.

• A strong interest in startups, venture capital, and building companies from the ground up, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a bias toward action.

• Comfort working directly with senior executives and managing multiple priorities at once.

• Curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to master the craft of sourcing and executive recruiting.

• Familiarity with modern recruiting tools and systems to make your work more efficient (Ashby, Pitchbook, etc).

• Based in NYC and available to work from our office at least three days per week.
