Our Mission

Reflection’s mission is to build open superintelligence and make it accessible to all.

We’re developing open weight models for individuals, agents, enterprises, and even nation states. Our team of AI researchers and company builders come from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Brain, Meta, Character.AI, Anthropic and beyond.

About the Role

Reflection is building at the frontier, which means the bar for talent is exceptionally high — and keeping that bar requires the right systems. We're looking for a Talent Management Lead to own how we evaluate, develop, and advance our people. You'll design and run performance cycles, build the frameworks managers use to make calibration and promotion decisions, and create the career architecture that helps our team grow. This isn't a program maintenance role — it's a builders role. You'll work closely with People and Compensation leadership to ensure our talent infrastructure is rigorous, fair, and scales with the company. If you've built performance and career systems from scratch at a high-growth company and know what great looks like, we want to talk.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the design, implementation, and operation of the company's performance management programs and review cycles.

  • Develop and evolve performance frameworks, rating methodologies, and evaluation processes.

  • Lead end-to-end performance cycles, including planning, communications, training, execution, calibration, and reporting.

  • Design and facilitate calibration sessions with managers and leadership teams.

  • Partner with Compensation and People leadership on performance outcomes, job architecture, promotion frameworks, and talent decisions.

  • Own promotion cycle design, governance, and execution.

  • Develop career progression frameworks and support leveling and role architecture initiatives.

  • Build and manage internal mobility processes and career development programs.

  • Create and deliver manager training on performance management, feedback, promotions, and career development.

  • Analyze talent outcomes and identify trends related to performance, promotions, retention, and organizational health.

  • Develop reporting and insights for leadership to support talent and workforce planning decisions.

  • Continuously improve talent programs to ensure they remain scalable, fair, and aligned with business needs.

What We’re Looking For
  • 7–10+ years of experience in Talent Management, Performance Management, Organizational Development, or a related People function.

  • Experience designing and operating company-wide performance management programs.

  • Experience leading calibration processes and facilitating talent discussions with senior leaders.

  • Strong understanding of performance frameworks, promotion processes, and career architecture.

  • Experience partnering closely with Compensation teams on ratings, promotions, rewards, and talent outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret talent data and organizational trends.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

  • Experience developing manager enablement and training programs.

  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions.

  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building talent management programs from the ground up.

  • Experience supporting technical populations, including researchers, engineers, and product teams.

  • Experience with job architecture, leveling frameworks, and competency models.

  • Experience supporting organizations through rapid scaling and organizational change.

  • Familiarity with talent management and performance management systems.

  • Experience integrating performance, promotion, and compensation programs into a cohesive talent strategy.

What We Offer:

We believe that to build superintelligence that is truly open, you need to start at the foundation. Joining Reflection means building from the ground up as part of a small talent-dense team. You will help define our future as a company, and help define the frontier of open foundational models.

We want you to do the most impactful work of your career with the confidence that you and the people you care about most are supported.

  • Top-tier compensation: Salary and equity structured to recognize and retain the best talent globally.

  • Health & wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

  • Life & family: Fully paid parental leave for all new parents, including adoptive and surrogate journeys. Financial support for family planning.

  • Benefits & balance: paid time off when you need it, relocation support, and more perks that optimize your time.

  • Opportunities to connect with teammates: lunch and dinner are provided daily. We have regular off-sites and team celebrations.
