💲Salary Range
  • £130,000 - $150,000 plus bonus of up to 25%
🚀 Your team and role:

Sales Engineering are part of the Xceptor’s Go-To-Market department alongside Sales, Marketing, Partnerships and Revenue Operations. At Xceptor, Sales Engineering play a vital role in the sales cycle - they support the sales process by leveraging technical expertise to demonstrate the value Xceptor products bring to clients working collaboratively with teams across the business including Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Development, and Product. 

As our US Tax expert, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting us in launching and scaling our US Tax product. This is a high impact opportunity for someone who wants to be at the forefront of our US Tax go to market strategy, acting as a trusted expert for both prospects and internal stakeholders.

In this role, you will become our US Tax subject matter expert for sales, working closely with Product, Sales, and Client Engagement teams to translate complex US Tax and regulatory requirements into compelling, value led solutions. You’ll take ownership of identifying client challenges, shaping solution narratives, and designing innovative demonstrations that clearly articulate how our platform can transform US Tax reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Together with your US Tax expertise, you’ll have technical ability in the data space, client facing ability and people skills to excite clients and bring our solutions to life.

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support Sales and Client Engagement Managers with new sales and account development in US.
  • Develop a solid understanding of customer-specific challenges through detailed requirements gathering workshops.
  • Design and configure solution demonstrations that exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage Proof of Concepts and Pilots end-to-end.
  • Assist with responding to RFIs/RFPs and other technical questions.
  • Work closely with other Sales Engineers to share knowledge and provide support, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery team to estimate project effort and prepare Statements of Work.
  • Attend events and collaborating with Marketing on various assets and collateral.
  • Feedback intelligence, client feedback and new enhancement ideas to Product and Development.
  • Assist with new product feature testing where necessary.
🎯 Who we're looking for:
  • Strong and current experience in US Tax processes, regulations, and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience working within financial services, with strong preference for candidates exposed to capital markets, asset management, or investment operations.
  • You’ll likely come from one at least one of the following roles: pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, client success, product, business analysis or project management ideally within a technology vendor, or bring technical experience in a business operations or consulting firm where you are likely to have been involved or responsible for tax technology implementation or advisory, tax operations/ transformation, regulatory/ tax reporting role.
  • Expert in client workshops, product demonstrations, and end-to-end PoC delivery.
  • A proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and clear, persuasive communication.
  • Proven ability to build, influence, and sustain relationships with senior decision makers.
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast paced environments with changing priorities.
  • Equally effective working collaboratively within teams or independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and willing to travel as required to support client engagements.
