The multi-trillion dollar insurance industry still relies on phone calls, paper forms, and outdated systems that are slow, error-prone, and easy to fake.

That’s where Axle comes in. We bridge the gap between insurance and other industries through an AI Native Clearinghouse for insurance, enabling our clients to make business decisions in seconds instead of hours while allowing consumers to unlock their most underutilized financial asset - insurance.

About the Role

As a Technical Account Manager at Axle, you'll play a pivotal role bridging technical solutions and customer success for our Mortgage vertical. You will be hands-on with Mortgage Lenders throughout the entire customer journey, from initial conversations to full adoption and nurturing accounts. You'll collaborate closely with the Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to design and implement tailored solutions, deliver a world-class onboarding experience, and provide ongoing support. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, adoption, and Axle's growth trajectory.

We’re looking for individuals who think creatively about problems, push for real-world customer impact, keep up to date on the latest in Fintech, AI and GTM engineering, and are excited about helping financial data reach full connectivity.

Why you should consider joining
  • Trusted by Fortune 500 companies and top brands like Avis, Rocket Mortgage, and Experian - with more joining every month.

  • Revenue growing 35% QoQ to mid-7-figures ARR, with best in class retention and growth continuing to accelerate.

  • Join a tight-knit team where everyone drives real impact - top-tier customer and revenue metrics with half the team size of typical startups.

  • Work on genuinely hard, unsolved problems at the intersection of agentic AI, complex data structuring, and financial risk.

  • Competitive compensation and equity, full benefits, unlimited time-off, and an annual team offsite.

We're a lean team, and our customer base is growing too fast for us to keep up. We're looking for talented team members to join our early team and execute on an ambitious roadmap.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the Mortgage sales team as the technical and product subject matter expert with prospective customers (pre-sales).

  • Conduct design sessions with Mortgage customers to deeply understand their needs, design how Axle will fit into their processes, build workflows using Figma, and define the people, process, and technology required to bring the Axle solution to life.

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding, configuration, and training across multiple deployment paths: the Axle Dashboard, Point of Sale (POS) integrations, and Loan Origination System (LOS) integrations.

  • Partner with clients to understand their goals, promote adoption of Axle solutions, and ensure they realize measurable value from the platform.

  • Act as the primary point of contact post-sales, nurturing customer relationships and providing word class support.

  • Help maintain, organize, and grow our knowledge base, API documentation, and other solutions resources.

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize customer insights to influence and prioritize product enhancements.

  • Help lay the foundation for the Solutions organization for the Mortgage vertical.

What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Implementation, Customer Success or customer-facing engineering roles, preferably in the Fintech space.

  • Exceptional communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

  • An insatiable desire to ask why and a love to dig deep into how things work.

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, cloud services, and modern SaaS architecture.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.

  • Bonus: Previous experience in insurance or related industries.

What would be even better?
  • Working knowledge of node/javascript and the ability to build your own tools.

  • A strong background in fintech and/or API services.

  • Working knowledge of Mortgage Point of Sale (POS) and Loan Origination Systems (LOS)

What you can expect
  • $150k - $180k base

  • 0.05 - 0.15% with 4 year vesting cycle, 1 year cliff

  • Comprehensive benefits: Competitive comp + equity, medical/dental/vision, 401k, unlimited vacation, flexible hybrid work, annual offsite and bring pets to work.
