Responsibilities
  • Oversee code quality, ensuring it meets the latest standards and is thoroughly tested

  • Drive project progression, ensuring work moves smoothly and on schedule

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership to align engineering efforts with business goals

  • Collaborate with leadership on high-level planning to align engineering initiatives with business goals

  • Define the strategic direction of integrations and technical initiatives in line with Kintsugi’s vision, staying proactive about advancements in technology and industry trends

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of robust integrations with third-party products, enabling seamless customer data access.

  • Lead a talented engineering team in Southeast Asia, providing guidance, mentorship, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a similar technical role, with significant exposure to integrations

  • Experience in a remote, matrixed organization a bonus

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python, AWS Serverless, Lambda, React, FastAPI, and Postgres

  • Leadership Skills: Strong focus on mentorship with the ability to make decisive calls in a fast-paced environment

  • Location: Remote position, open to candidates in South Asia

Nice to Have
  • 3+ years of experience with FastAPI or Flask, with a focus on building APIs.

  • 5+ years of experience building microservices or serverless applications, particularly in a cloud-native environment.

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS, including hands-on experience with services like Lambda, S3, and RDS.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • A proactive approach to learning new technologies and a passion for continuous improvement.
