Why work at Nebius
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud computing to serve the global AI economy. We create the tools and resources our customers need to solve real-world challenges and transform industries, without massive infrastructure costs or the need to build large in-house AI/ML teams. Our employees work at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure alongside some of the most experienced and innovative leaders and engineers in the field.

Where we work
Headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Nasdaq, Nebius has a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, North America, and Israel. The team of over 1400 employees includes more than 400 highly skilled engineers with deep expertise across hardware and software engineering, as well as an in-house AI R&D team.

The role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager - Databases to lead strategy and execution for Nebius database products focused on OLTP, vector, and in-memory databases used to build AI applications and agents.
You will define how customers store transactional data, retrieve semantic context, and serve low-latency memory/state for production AI systems. You will own the roadmap and priorities across transactional storage, retrieval, and real-time serving layers, translating customer problems into scalable product capabilities.
What success looks like in 12 months
  • Nebius has a clear, executed database strategy for OLTP + vector + in-memory workloads in AI applications.
  • Customers are running production agentic/AI apps with strong reliability and predictable latency on Nebius.
  • Core quality metrics improve materially (p95/p99 latency, availability, failover recovery time, and cost-efficiency).
  • Database adoption and retention grow through developer-friendly product experiences and strong workload fit.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for OLTP, vector, and in-memory database capabilities.
  • Turn customer and market input into clear product specs, priorities, and delivery plans.
  • Lead cross-functional execution with Engineering, SRE, Security, Solution Architecture, and GTM teams.
  • Drive critical capabilities including replication, failover, indexing, backup/recovery, observability, and scaling.
  • Shape AI-specific data patterns such as hybrid retrieval, low-latency memory access, and workload isolation.
  • Use product and operational metrics to guide decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Track ecosystem and competitor trends to keep Nebius differentiated in AI-native data infrastructure.

We expect you to have:

  • Track record of owning and shipping technical platform products with measurable business and user impact.
  • Strong practical understanding of OLTP systems, vector retrieval systems, and in-memory data stores.
  • Ability to reason clearly about trade-offs across consistency, latency, throughput, durability, reliability, and cost.
  • Experience working deeply with engineering teams building distributed, high-availability systems.
  • Strong product judgment under ambiguity, and the ability to make high-quality prioritization decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder leadership across technical and non-technical audiences.

It will be an added bonus if you have:

  • Experience with AI/LLM application architecture, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks.
  • Experience building or scaling managed database services in cloud environments.
  • Background in software engineering, distributed systems, data infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
  • Experience with enterprise and developer-facing products in fast-moving B2B environments.

Who thrives in this role
  • You like high ownership and high technical depth.
  • You are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information.
  • You care about shipping real outcomes, not writing roadmaps that never execute.
  • You enjoy working across product, engineering, and go-to-market to deliver end-to-end impact.
