Technical Product Manager

This is a remote, client-facing consultant role with Inviso. In this position, you will support an external software development organization as part of Inviso’s delivery team, helping shape the roadmap, requirements, and delivery discipline for an enterprise AI platform.

The Inviso Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining the product wedge, requirements, roadmap, acceptance criteria, and stage-gate process for platform capabilities that serve multiple product teams and customers. This role connects customer discovery, business value, product strategy, engineering feasibility, and delivery execution.

The ideal candidate is technical enough to earn the trust of engineers, structured enough to manage ambiguity, and decisive enough to make difficult scope, sequencing, and phase-gate decisions. This role requires strong communication with executives, product leaders, engineering teams, customer stakeholders, and design partners.

This is a 100% remote role, but may require some travel due to client needs.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Experience owning requirements, roadmap, scope, or delivery strategy for a technical product, platform, API, infrastructure, or developer-facing solution.
  • Ability to translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, prioritized, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience managing roadmap trade-offs across product velocity, platform leverage, technical risk, and customer value.
  • Ability to define and run stage-gate, phase-gate, or milestone-based delivery processes.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on sequencing, architecture trade-offs, delivery planning, and scope decisions.
  • Experience recruiting or managing design partners, collecting feedback, and converting insights into product decisions.
  • Ability to document decisions, assumptions, gaps, customer feedback, and delivery readiness in a clear and structured way.
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to explain product strategy, progress, risks, and impact.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for client-facing consulting environments.
  • Pragmatic decision-making with the ability to prioritize value, kill or defer scope, and keep delivery moving.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AI platforms, AI development lifecycle, data products, API platforms, infrastructure products, or developer tools.
  • Experience shipping a platform or API product adopted by design partners or internal product teams.
  • Experience with customer discovery in complex operational or regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale software with reliability, security, compliance, and integration requirements.
  • Experience working in federated product environments where multiple teams own their own roadmaps.
  • Experience using AI-assisted productivity tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and product delivery.

Success Criteria

Success in this role is measured by clear product direction, strong requirements, disciplined scope control, useful phase gates, customer validation, and the ability to help engineering teams deliver high-value platform capabilities. Technical Product Managers are expected to keep the team focused on what matters most and ensure that product decisions are grounded in business value, customer needs, and engineering reality.
