About Ornn
Ornn is building the financial infrastructure for AI compute. Our price indices are live on Bloomberg Terminal. We structure and trade compute hedging instruments. And we're now building a platform that brings exchange-grade mechanics like order management, matching, scheduling, and settlement to how compute capacity gets reserved and allocated. We're a lean team in New York, backed by leading venture and strategic investors.

About the Role
You would be an early product hire at Ornn, owning the development lifecycle for our compute reservation and marketplace platform. You will sit between the commercial team and engineering, translating signal from GTM conversations, neocloud partners, and compute buyers into a roadmap the engineering team can execute against. Your job is to make sure the right things get built in the right order with the right stakeholders in mind.

What You'll Do
  • Write detailed specs and acceptance criteria, maintaining a clean and well-organized backlog that engineering can pull from without ambiguity.
  • Wireframe and prototype new features and flows before they reach design or engineering, ensuring that early iterations are grounded in real user needs.
  • Run discovery calls alongside GTM to understand their compute procurement workflows, pain points, and decision criteria.
  • Monitor the evolving GPU compute ecosystem to continuously refine the product roadmap.

What We're Looking For
Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience, with at least one stint as an early product hire at an early-stage company.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high agency.
  • Proficiency with tools like Linear and Figma, etc.
  • Strong technical literacy: you can read a pull request, understand an API contract, and have a productive conversation with engineers about system design tradeoffs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Professional experience at a neocloud, cloud/inference provider, hyperscaler, or on a compute procurement team, with firsthand understanding of how organizations buy and manage GPU capacity.
  • Background in product roles at companies building marketplace or platform infrastructure.
  • Experience at a top-tier PM organization.
  • Familiarity with financial products or structured finance concepts, particularly related to commodity markets or asset-backed structures.

Why This Role Matters
Ornn's success depends on getting the product right for two distinct audiences: neoclouds who need diversified, creditworthy tenants, and compute buyers who need flexible, reliable reservations. This role needs to internalize both of those perspectives simultaneously and align them to create a working product. Near-term product decisions will shape the core platform experience that defines Ornn.

Compensation and Benefits
Benefits include competitive salary, meaningful equity, health coverage, free meals, and additional benefits. This is a leadership role with significant strategic impact and equity upside.

Equal Opportunity Statement
Ornn is committed to building a diverse team. We evaluate candidates based on their ability to do the work, not on pedigree or background. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
