Via is on a mission to create public transportation systems that provide far greater access to jobs, healthcare, and education. Our platform serves as the technology backbone for modern transit networks, transforming antiquated and siloed public transportation systems into smart, data-driven, and efficient digital networks. With hundreds of agency partners around the world, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider globally.

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, Engineering at Via, you will directly shape the future of the company by identifying and championing the engineers and product builders who will drive our next phase of global growth. Our Talent team does far more than traditional recruiting: we are the stewards of Via’s technical leadership pipeline, partnering closely with engineering and product hiring managers across the world to define what great looks like and ensure we keep the bar high. We operate with speed, autonomy, creativity, and the conviction that exceptional people are the engine of every breakthrough at Via.

About the Role:

  • Own the full hiring strategy for your teams, from defining the profile of a great hire to building the sourcing plan that gets you there
  • Partner closely with engineering managers, tech leads, and product leaders to deeply understand what they're building, challenge assumptions about what great looks like, and shape a rigorous process that consistently leads to the right hire
  • Build and maintain proactive, high-quality candidate pipelines that reflect both the talent market and Via’s future needs
  • Run fast, thoughtful, and innovative recruiting processes that give candidates a best-in-class experience and reflect the ambition and pace of Via's engineering culture
  • Develop a sharp point of view on the technical talent market, spotting patterns, sharing insights with hiring teams, and constantly looking for ways to raise the bar on how we hire

About You:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a technical recruiting role, with a track record of sourcing and closing top-tier software engineers across the seniority spectrum
  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and how engineering teams operate; you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to speak the language credibly
  • Exceptionally smart, gritty, and resourceful, as your previous experience matters less to us than your ability to think on your feet and get things done
  • Naturally curious and always learning; you want to understand the why behind decisions and enjoy contributing ideas, not just executing on a problem
  • Steady, optimistic, and solution-oriented in every situation; we are Via’s culture carriers
  • Energized by ambiguous, complex challenges that require good judgment and thoughtful problem-solving

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000
  • We are proud to offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package, including free medical plans and 401K matching.

There has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility. Ready to join the ride?

Via is an equal opportunity employer.
