About this role:
The COO Technology group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
Within COO Technology we are seeking a Technology Director to drive enterprise-wide transformation in DevSecOps practices. This highly critical role will define the strategic roadmap, align engineering initiatives with business outcomes, and lead cultural change toward automation, security-first development, and operational and engineering excellence. Additionally, it will ensure cross-functional alignment, governance, and scalability of modern DevSecOps practices COO Technology.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • 6+ years of experience working in large financial services organizations of 100k+ employees
  • 6+ years of experience working in a hands-on software developer or architecting end-to-end solutions
  • 4+ years of experience leading DevSecOps practices
Desired Qualifications:
  • Deep experience in transforming organizations to use DevSecOps best practices
  • Experience in using modern tools chains across the entire CI/CD pipeline to include Harness, GitActions, GitSaaS, etc
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intent
  • Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
  • Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
  • Experience with Agile transformations
  • Experience with Java, Big Data or Open Architecture stack
  • Experience in creating & delivering technology roadmaps
  • Experience in managing on-shore and off-shore teams
Job Expectations:
  • This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
